Yeah, I never understood that part because it was pulled out of the middle of nowhere. Many of the characters did not have enough of a backstory to make me care about them.

They were apparently properly introduced somewhere in the novels. It's just JC Staff never animated those parts

Spoiler! :
They should have at least explained Sale considering he's an artificial Flame Haze made by the Professor

If they were from a game, it would explain some things.

The Mare guy that appeared in the 2nd season and referenced by Sabrac was introduced by the PS2 game

I always kept thinking the new characters like Sale, Chiara, and Mammon were from the game because there was so little back story for them :?

The games?

Like I said, everything.

  1. The talking. Oh god, the talking. Less of that and more killing each other would have been nice
  2. Characters died too easily and quickly. They hyped up guys like the giant eel and the Indian rain guy but they barely lasted 9 episodes before dying
  3. This is more of a budget thing but at some point, the denizens stopped looking like humans and more like stuff from bad horror movies

I think those are my only complaints. I'd complain about bringing in characters introduced by the games but they were only following the novel :?

Like?

Personally, I found the series to be much more enjoyable than other 2nd or 3rd season series. Or 4th (ZnT).

It felt like all they did was talk after hyping the fight so much.

Even so, just something was lacking to make me excited about it.

Yet the novel ended in almost the exact same way.

Personally, I'd love to see volume 10 get animated.

I really do not care because SnS ended in a way that made me no longer care. It was like trying to do a 5-minute fight on a certain planet in a certain series in a way that was drawn out and boring.

Yea. I wonder if it'll turn into OVA.
