We would all like a Date or two, but it's expensive you know?

Funny. But calendar dates would be nice for the people who want to know when the last update was.

Spice & Wolf : English : Licenced
Spanish : Stalled
Brazilian Portugese : Stalled
Vietnamese : No Idea
I've noticed that there have been updates to Spice & Wolf in Spanish in recent weeks. The Spanish crew have been working on Fate/Zero too, I think.

Toradora : English : Completed (excl. the spin-offs) - Honorable mention to : Kinny Riddle, Dragonst, Trabius, Pliky, and Rpapo who's still doing the spin-offs.
German : Stalled
Greek : Running - Eirini kl
Italian : Stalled
Romanian : Stalled
Russian : Stalled (took me long enough)
Spanish : Stalled
Tagalog : Stalled
Turkish : Stalled
The most recent work on the main series has been:
-- Spanish: Myself, last update August 2010. Translating from English to Spanish is easy, but a distraction from learning Japanese.
-- Romanian: Liarardy, last update October 2010.
-- Russian: Isapfe, last update May 2010.

I'll ask you if this code is OK :

Running : Active in the past three months

TWU : Translation Without Updates (1)

Inactive : Last updates in the past 3-6 months

MIA: No updates in the past six months.

Completed : Series completed.

The Stalled Category will be these tags :

ANAT : All Novels Available Translated

Abandoned : No translators willing/available to continue the project.

NSOT : No Sign Of Translators : When the translators subscribed but didn't update since the beginning of 2010

Licensed: You know what it means.

(1) : TWU(Translator Will Update) : In this case, I would like that the translator or translators doing this project NOTICE me, or someone in contact with him/them. I won't try to see every translator to ask them if they are still translating.

Reason: Confusion over "Stalled" and spelling checks.

stalled should not be used for completed. stalled implies that it is still progress-able. completed is completed.

besides, I thought there was already a definition by Oni???

Stalled in B-T translation terms means nothing to the reader. Readers read faster than we translate, so its plausible that stalled can mean something else. However, don't use the word 'lost' for pete sake, call it MIA or POW.

If you want, I can change '"Stalled" by "Standstill". It means the same thing. But since there is already a 'stalled, maybe it is better the term "standstill".

And what I mean my "stall is that there are no movements. When a series is completed, of course it would be stalled.

Creating a debate on the term "stalled" is ridiculous. Just give me a term for a project that isn't moving.

I'll simply call it MIA. But doesn someone know what are the meanings for these names, like MIA, KIA, AWOL, etc.

"Stalled will be added to these tags : "

I'm very confused now. are you referring to above or below??

anyway, there are too many categories and this makes it extremely confusing. you have to think from the reader's point of view and what of kind of information are they interested in; I suggest regroup the categories based on that streamline to maximum 4 or 5.

this will be mainly what the reader is interested:
1. is the project active / ie. having updates regularly
2. is the project dropped / dead / abandoned
3. is the project on hiatus (temporarily not progressing, but may be resumed)
4. how fast is the project moving

(4) is hard quantify, but I'm just adding it in for the sake of completion on what a reader will be interested in.

those terms are military terms. AWOL-absence without official leave. MIA-missing in action. KIA-killed in action.

Fixed the "Stalled" Problem. Its a category now... Also I moved the terms so "Completed" isn't considered Stalled -_-

Also, 1 is answered already, (Project stability can be checked by how many translators are working on this, so we don't need to check update speed)
For 3. Hiatus is basically the stalled category. and 4. it all depends on update speed. If anyone wants to do some math, we can have an average update time per chapter.

Don't look at the number of translators active; some of them haven't updated since 2008. In my ttranslation update, I had to check all the translators one by one.

Average update time job will need to be separated. If there's only one guy that does it, it would be suicide.

My next move will be a BIG cleanup of the so-called "Active users" No updates since 2008 and still active? Bullsh*t.
