It's not yet and what released June 26th was the 4th comic of Haruhi.
It was announced to be released on June 1st but was postponed, and its release date remains undecided so far because, I hear, the author is in slump.

Ya, it does blow...does that mean he has writer's block or something? It doesn't really matter for me right now, still waiting for Volume 9 to be completed.

just a thought.. maybe Nagaru-san's working on his other ranobe, Gakkou wo Deyou.. i mean completing SHnY and writing for his other novel's bound to be difficult..
i can't wait for the translation of Suzumiya Haruhi no Bunretsu..

I think it has long been completed, considering V9 and V10 are connected.
Kadokawa is just trying to suck more money out of the franchise by splitting them into two books.

heh, that'd be a typical profit-oriented agenda from Kadokawa.. guess it really can't be helped, they're the ones with the franchise, we fans just pay for it..

It could also be that since the anime's second season was sped up in schedule, the author is currently collaborating with the animators/director to make sure that the second season is in-line with his views on how it should come out. ^_^
