It is a common expression. Note that its subject in the given sentence is the narrator.

大辞泉
頭(あたま)に来る

1 怒りで興奮する。かっとなる。「ばかにされて―来た」
2 酔いや病毒が頭に回る。また、気が変になる。
WWWJDIC
頭に来る; 頭にくる 【あたまにくる】 (exp,vk) to get mad; to be highly offended; to get pissed off; to get angry; to lose one's cool [Edit] [V][Ex][L][G][GI][S][A] [L][G][GI][S][A]
これは頭にくる。 This is making me really angry.[Amend]

I knew the phrase, but the lack of the particle there really threw me off. Thanks for that.

And that clears up who says what too.

While that certainly is an option, it's easier to leave name's romanized than translated.

true but it refers to the 鐵 in a couple sentences, like saying at 鐵 etc
but without the rest so im wondering if i should tl it or maybe put in a reference

Edit: nvm it is simply littered with references to it being an "Iron" academy including 2 mining references, so i think itll just be simpler to tl it as Iron Star

Huh? Why? I think Ironstar Academy would be ok. Just call the refers as "Iron" as example "at the Iron..."

there is going to be a lack of updates except maybe once a week for a while, atleast until I can finish memorizing the joyou kanji, then i'll continue translating every day or so like i did for the first chapter. Btw to any roaming editors who are kind enough to fix up my more than sloppy translations I want to ask you NOT to change any of the first/third person povs or the pronouns, the authors style switches from referring to themselves as I me my ect to he her she he ect so all the sentences that seem to completely change the first/third person perspective that the story had been following are not mistakes, just attempts to keep the swiveling perspective in line with the story, also it helps since english has very few masculine or feminine terms since a large amount of play is done on this by the author.

Does anyone know who the Project Supervisor is for Kampfer. Also I'm going to work on Volume 2 if that's alright.

No problem, also per default is it Oni, as long as no other is specially mentioned.

Yeah it is fine if you want to work on Vol 2; try to contact oni when you can, but you can start translating whenever you feel like it. Be sure to register any chapters you want to work on

I need a bit of translation help.

I understand the first two clauses of the following sentence but in the third clause starting from ぐ... I got a bit lost.
俺こと平凡な高校生、瀬能ナツルは、日曜の朝っぱらから大の字になってぐトすか眠りこけていた。

Also I'm not sure what "でまあ" means in this sentence: でまあ、俺としては当然起きあがりたくなかったわけなんだが。

Finally I'm not sure how to translate "すたる" without it sounding awkward. 二回や三回で身催を起こしては男がすたる。

Thanks.

for the first one Im not sure about the ト present but other than that it goes something like
I, the ordinary high school student Senou Natsuru, was sprawled out on the bed early on sunday morning, sleeping deeply.
again not really sure of this though ぐトすか, maybe a mistransliteration

as for the second one I think the でまあ is an internal exclamation of exhaustion? i'm not sure

Third might be translated as, Two no three times 身催(idk what this is, some person) has tried to wake up the boy, but it is no use.

sorry I can't be of anymore help and I am not 100% sure but I hope this helps
