Here is why I've been fed up with readers' complaints about translation pace. After having withnessed Hunk's scanlation team being victim of that for a while, I saw this twit.
PUTAIN, BAKA-TSUKI ET 13TH HOUR, VOUS ALLEZ BOUGER VOTRE CUL DE SORTIR DES NOUVEAUX CHAPITRES DE KING'S GAME.

English TL: F***, BAKA-TSUKI AND 13TH HOUR, WILL YOU GET OFF YOUR ASSES TO RELEASE NEW CHAPTERS OF KING'S GAME.

That attitude been around since I jumped into fansubbing and scanlations back in 2002. I doubt we will ever see it go away, there is just no limit to what some feel they are entitled too. God forbid they would pitch in...

Oh, I love people nagging TLs to translate new chapters, when they could take the effort and learn Japanese for themselves. As if anyone's obliged to do the stuff they do here for free.

Regarding TL quality: I'd wish they'd leave a comment on what's wrong at the discussion page... everyone would profit if there's a wrong meaning behind the words translated.

Regarding format: Well, true. That's pretty sad when the format and style differs from volume to volume or even chapter to chapter. So I'd really preferred if every project had someone who pinpoints format guidelines specific for that project. Like how to format thoughts, which symbols to use to separate certain words from the rest of the text and whatnot.

If they just nag and do not comment it on here officially, they don't get the purpose of a wiki. Almost all stuff is free to anons even.

Complaining about an alternative language TL not being up to the original TL is plain dumb, I don't push myself TL'ing Oda Nobuna German further, either, when there's no encouragement to do so. I'd rather prioritize the stuff more people care about. I don't mind either German TL or English editing, both is fun to me.

My two cent.

Something that shouldn't be shown to rpapo (unless he finds it).

Could also mean: I'm too lazy to read, so I rather watch TV.

Q. Is there a translation for the novels?

A. Yes, Baka-Tsuki is doing one. I much prefer Nano Ripe’s version, so while it is lagging behind significantly, I think it is a great starting point.

same, and I absolutely refuse to read anything off BakaTsuki anymore, those translations are horrid. So I wait
I feel like setting up a tool that runs everything on Baka-Tsuki through grammar and spell check. Such QUALITY wow #failtrans
I've missed other comments (especially targeted towards Index), but I'll post them if I see them.

This is what baka-tsuki translates this to: a pro must not be human. I guess pro is the abbreviation for profashional.
Am I the only one who feels that sometimes the translations of these light novels don't flow properly?

I'm all for reading the source material rather than going for adaptations but sometimes I just can't get into them. I remember trying to read a light novel a ways back and the grammar felt so awkward that I couldn't bother the read the first few pages. And a lot of the time the translations come from BT.
"a ways back", "bother the read", and "a lot of the time" uh...

Same person that wrote the first quote in my last post.
f*ck Baka-Tsuki, all their translations are poking terrible
Oh well, ready to bark, but not helping when needed. Can't ask for more.
