East Coast Earthquake

Hey guys I just went through my first earthquake in NY. A friend of my in New England told me he felt it too. Have anyone felt it and are you all right?

That is weird. There are no fault lines or tectonic plate lines anywhere near that area for hundreds, if not thousands, of miles. If I did not see it elsewhere, I would not believe it. Any news on any casualties or damage?

So you're in New York?

Here, though I'm technically on the East Coast, there aren't any problems. However, I live a bit far from NY.

Also, I didn't hera about an earthquake. I'm going to check CNN right now.

If anything, I would have thought that I would have felt an earthquake here in Kansas City before New York would. Back in the 1800s, the Mississippi River flowed backwards because of an earthquake that included most of Missouri.

hmm the earthquake as odd as it sound originated from Virgina according to my local news. Man it is not pleasant to be surrounded by skyscrapers in the middle of that.

I know it reached as far as Charleston, S.C. since a few friends posted that they felt it on Facebook. Pretty far reaching earthquake.
