Yes! That's it! Watch them for the death scenes! Friggin A! Best death scenes ever. A guy getting sliced in 3 (and slowly slide apart) by a barb wire fence sent flying from a gasoline leak from a car 100 meters away is the best!

I've watched all three Final Destination movies, thank you.

Any other good gore/thriller/horror shows (preferably anime) to recommend?

What about those Japanese movies about school kids being abducted to kill each other? What's it called? Royal Rumble or something like that. That's fun to watch.

I seriously don't remember what it's called. But the ending scene owns so bad! One of the heroes dies with that lying-on-heroine's-lap-while-saying-last-words scene... but he has an erection!!! And it was so big!!!

LOL!

Oh yeah, and seeing people get killed Japanese style with Kill Bill volumes of blood is always good.

Boogiepop phantom is a nice horror anime. Lain is good too.

I tried googling Royal Rumble but all I got was some WWE crap.

EDIT: Checked out Boogiepop Phantom, seems pretty interesting. LAIN is okay, but the art kinda puts me off. I'll give Boogiepop a try though, even though the name sounds silly.

Isn't judging a series by it's artwork kinda judgemental? There are plenty of series out there with art that takes getting used to, but have magnificent stories.

Stuff like Kemonozume can be really excellent if you gave it the chance.

EDIT: What a stupid sounding sentence... judging... judgemental...

Yea, meaning that I'll be checking out Boogiepop first before LAIN, since LAIN's artwork kinda puts me off.

The movie your thinking of Umi is Battle Royal. Kids get put on an island and are forced to kill each other. Badass movie indeed. A good gore Anime/Manga is Gantz, but yeah you've seen that already right?

Thank you Monkey ^^ You and I think alike :)

MMmmmm... Shawn of the Dead is another good movie. Don't know whether it's considered grim, dark, or horror. It's still great though.

Horror/gore is never complete without Gantz. 'nuff said ;P

Aside from the SuzuHaru and ZnT discussion pages, I'd say that everything is 80% random off-topic stuff. But that's a good sign, right?

The Battle Royal movie is based on the manga right? I remember there being a lot more rape than in the movie rather than just gore, I never finished reading it though. Tokyopop licensed it but made a lot of changes from the original I think, like saying that they were put on the island for a reality TV show. :P
