I think a second season of Haruhi is bound to happen, it's just a matter of when.

But still, after seeing the Higurashi-ish Lone Island Syndrome preview, it doesn't hurt to dream, right? ;P

Well, judging by teh amount of cash that they're attempting to suck out of Haruhi... No doubt, they'll make it. After Haruhi 1st season runs dry of additional crap to produce that fanboys will go crazy to buy, they'll release season 2! Then the second stage of the g37 r1c|-| plan arrives!
