The events of chapter 103 were pretty sweet. :D I can't wait to see how it ends... but at the same time I want it to go on :?

Oh right, because it's not Ready Steady Go. Of course.

ready steady isnt the first opening song of FMA that he's talkinh about. I hate that song but I still love the old FMA openings and endings much more. And the old anime is definetly more awesome except for its kinda lame ending.

while i find brotherhood a fun, action-packed, plot-driven, comedic series, i felt like it lack the angst, emotional, philosophical talk and slow pace the 1st anime. granted the manga wasn't done at the time but i felt i become a better philosopher of the 1st show. they discuss alot of issues this show just go so fast that I feel like i am not learning anything. I never forget greed's fight with ed and his sadness over his death. Still both are good entertainment.

The anime is going through the manga a bit too quickly for my liking.

By ep. 52, the anime will probably run out of material from the manga

same reason of why I'm not watching FMA Brotherhood... I wonder whether I'd have watched it if I have never seen the first season.
uhhh, still, FMA is brilliant. I'm tempted to watch Brotherhood. Everyone's been saying how awesome it is.

The story is largely similar at the start, and is just as good. Both stories are really good with unique and good ideas. Its perfectly fine to watch both seasons. I watched FMA first, and I had wondered whether to try brotherhood, since I have read the manga, and the first anime covered quite a bit of similar parts, but when i tried brotherhood, it was totally well done and drew me in. So, feel free to give it a try if you wanna, you wont suffer any loss

Holy sh!t, the revelation in Brotherhood episode 40 was quite breathtaking.

I'm just gonna copy and paste my post on Random Curiosity
Spoiler! :
While it’s probably not hard to guess that Father is probably van Hohenheim’s evil twin, to see the whole thing play out is still quite breathtaking. Though I don’t know how the original Homunculus/Father was created, but I guess he was most likely created by Xerxes alchemists hoping to find the secrets to immortality which the homunculus seem to possess.

The way van Hohenheim redirected the flow of Izumi’s blood flow reminds me of some oriental healing method, which leads me to believe van Hohenheim may be the legendary “Sage of the West” who brought Eastern Alchemy into Xing, while Father became the “Sage of the East”, bringing Western Alchemy into Amestris.

Spoiler! :
Father IS NOT Hohenheim’s evil twin.

He was made when the Xerxes alchemists took blood from slave #23 (Hohenheim) and I believe he was made to reveal the secrets of the gate (aka. the Truth) without having to perform human transmutation

All Father did was "repay" Slave #23 for giving him life (the blood), and he does that by giving the slave a name (identity), knowledge (probably the Truth), and immortality.

Why does he give Hohenheim all that? Probably because he believes the ultimate goal of humans is to be remembered as the guy who knows everything and can never die
It's also obvious that Hohenheim is the guy that taught Xing how to use alchemy, since it explains why Father can't stop Eastern Alchemy. Different methods of transmutation, different ways of stopping them

I like both the new OP and ED. 8)

Yeah the story is going a bit fast, fast enough to make me think that this anime is more along the lines of a supplement to the manga than a standalone watchable series.
