Full Metal Panic should work. Chidori thinks that Sousuke is a gun nut, and Sousuke's stupid actions provoke her to whack him over the head with a harisen so many times that he starts to get the impression she hates him.

An anime that is about aesthetics, not plot, and has little action, no romance, some humor, and has a slow overall pace.
