I... couldn't get past the first arc. I mean after that cloneish thing appeared I watched one more ep and wrote off the entire season as crap. Then again I also wrote off the second season of ZnT after the first two eps as well

Scratch what I said, I was thinking of Zero no Tsukaima. My bad! Haven't watched the second season of SnS yet.TheGiftedMonkey wrote:Meh, I was disappointed with the second season and kind of wished I hadn't watched it. If you've already read the novels, I wouldn't even bother.

Not yet. and it's not stated anywhere that there will be..
it kinda ended not exactly like in the novels, and there was no indication of a 3rd season.
But many people (including me) would really like one ^_^

Re: Shakugan no Shana
so is possible to just skip the fillers and understand what is going on? or do i really need to watch them?ainsoph9 wrote:I would say that the second season is not as good as the first, especially given the fact that it has filler for what seems like half of the first half of the series. However, it is decent overall. If you liked the first series, then I would say, "Why not give the rest a shot?"

well.. I didn't like the first eps much too, but if you're going to skip, what's the point in watching the whole anime?
actually what most of those fillers try to accomplish in my oppinion is "show that Juuji is getting better" and "he's building up his resolve"..

I will agree with salv here. The filler actually does do those of us who have not read all of the novels a favor. They do seem to function within the dynamics of the series, which seem to bridge Yuuji's developments as a character.

Isn't Yuuji like 90% more badass in the novels than he is in the show?

Really? I already think Yuuji is a pretty good character, now I've got to pick up the book.

I think (can't be too sure) that in the anime he kept it as well but its too heavy for him to use initially

Yeah, I wish that Yuuji would have gotten stronger sooner. I find that weak male roles in series like SnS get really old really quick.
