Anyone seen this. It's a short ONA series about a world in which androids are treated as slaves, but in one little cafe, humans and androids are treated alike.

It seems a bit like a more serious Chobits. I was actually amazed by how good it is, one of the best first episodes I've seen in a while. Even more than that, you can even watch it for free on the official site(Japanese only; if you want English(like I expect you do)you still have to get a fansub), http://www.timeofeve.com.

If you haven't seen it, watch it. Or else.

I got mine 'second-hand' through fansub.tv. It was awesome. At the end of the episode (this doesn't happen much) I was like...wtheck? The episode only just started! I'm already really interested in this. Is it based on a light novel, or manga or something? Or is it simply an original creation for anime?

It appears to be an original anime; I liked it so much I wanted to see if I could find its source material, but it appears not to have any.

Keep watching. It is like Asimov and "I Robot" to the nth power. The movie was just as good, maybe even better.
