Just buy a cheap gamecube controller. It should be cheap and it should give you the best results. Although is it really that hard to to smash attacks with the analog stick? I tend to have a hard time not using smash attacks when I just want tilts.

Maybe that's just me not able to do Smash attacks on the Wimote+Nunchuk. But I gotta get a GC controller to play my newly acquired copy of Animal Crossing anyways (I never did get a Gamecube, probably because I was too wrapped up in PS2. ) Found a $15 third-party controller that comes with a Memory Card; I think I'll void my warranty using it, but I'm pretty sure my warranty's expired.

I've also got a wavebird. Only problem is since I got it day 1, the grip has almost completely rubbed off from too many hundreds of hours of melee. It still is better than a normal controller, but not quite as good as a newer one would be.

Ike really isn't all that great. He's good, yes, but nothing amazing.

Interestingly, Ganondorf is really good against Ike.

it has amazing recovery jump, love it.

my second favourite is harder to pin-point.

maybe Snake or Samus, even Pit.

my mate loves pikachu, he's so dammn good, i hate it when you're trying to recover and he keeps spamming that floor hugging electric pulse, that keeps you from holding on.

i drove my brother-in-law-to-be into such a murderous rage over mario kart wii, (which i respectably kicked his arse) he went out and bought a Wii at GAMES (GAMESTOP) he told my sister an excuse that he got it for her so she only has to buy wiifit.
