Torrent help
I'm trying to download a file using BitComet and I have this error saying "Your listen port is unreachable by public domain users, please check your firewall and NAT router configurations."
Being new to torrent files, that makes absolutely no sense to me. Can someone tell me how I can make it so that these downloads go faster than the speed of 1kb per second?

1. Make sure you aren't getting internet service which blocks torrents(especially schools and whatnot).
2. Try using encryption.
3. Make sure your firewall doesn't block the port you've set for the torrent program.
4. Make sure your router doesn't block the port.
5. Try a different program(I like utorrent).

Quite honestly, no.Jumpyshoes wrote:Depends on lots of things... Your internet speed, how many people are DLing, how many seeds, etc...
Do you even know how a torrent works? It can go anywhere from 0kb/s to 2mb/s on a good connection...
Right now, I am downloading a 5GB Higurashi game that is going at about 100kb per second...I suppose that's good?

That's probably about as good as you can expect.Phoenix14 wrote:Quite honestly, no.Jumpyshoes wrote:Depends on lots of things... Your internet speed, how many people are DLing, how many seeds, etc...
