How to translate a PS2 game??

How to translate a PS2 game??

well, I know it is possible. some games have been translated already. I found some guides and they seem to be okay. They say something about a hexadecimal editor to know the hexadecimal value of scripts, but i have a problem. the script (if they're the scripts) is some cases in japanese... and japanese characters doesn't appear... i wanted to put the hex-editor in UTF-8, but only supports ansi and another one... so... also i tried to open it with WaKan, it goes fine, but yet i don't know how to translate it or where are the hexes.. :evil:

any help, plz?
