Sorry for necroposting a bit but I'm at ch 127 and this whole genre change just weirds me out. I mean when I think of Nisio Isin this sort of thing doesn't really surprise me but still. I've never heard of a battle manga just changing into a love comedy is just insane. So I don't know how it's supposed to work out.

I think that the most mistaken character is Medaka. The whole manga is a explanation about, or at least, the abnornamlity of Medaka(in a philosofical sense). Forget the plot, just focus in the characters and yours personality. The characters, yeah, they that, make medaka box be the awesome manga that is. Especifically kumagawa and medaka. Not forgetting of course, the secondary characters, they sometimes, are more interesting than the mc itself.
