Light novels in Chinese

Post by Valavor »

Hello,
Like it's stated in the topic I'm currently looking for light novels that are available in chinese, I was wondering if anyone know of some titles?
I read pretty much any genre.
Thanks in advance! ^^

Still, I suggest you give some genre... If you follow to my wiki user page... you see an entire list(old) of all the novels that I own, they are all in chinese, and there are a lot more that aren't in the list just because I don't read it.

Or you can give some titles, manga/anime/novels etc that you enjoy?

hmmm well...The only light novel in chinese I've read is probably 1/2 prince...
I read pretty much every genre, but I particularily enjoy fantasy/romance.
Well some other chinese literature I read are stuff like Romance of the three kingdoms, Journey to the west, Condor heroes...etc.
Hmmm manga that I enjoy include: One Piece, Kure-Nai, Red River and Rosario to Vampire.
As for anime, ones that I really enjoyed are: Rental Magica, Gundam(gundam fan :p ), Wolf and Spice and Ergo Proxy.

Anyway gonna go take a look at that list now :p Thanks for your help ^^

=edit=
Wah...so many novels adapted to chinese =w=
But...I have no idea how to look for them tho, since I have no idea what title they gave in China >.< Manga Updates usually only have the japanese/english titles

Kure-nai(紅) came from novel, so you might be interested, same for Rental Magica(魔法人力派遣公司). Wolf and Spice(狼與辛香料) is a fantastic novel, so you might be interested.

Since you like One Piece, i am not sure, but if you like comedy, Baka to test(笨蛋, 考試, 召喚獸) is a good choice, but from the other titles you listed, you might not be so interested in it. However, it has some fighting elements in it, even though it is not as detailed as chinese literature.

Fantasy romance... Some people talked about Dragon Crisis(龍之界點) last time, its not that bad, but imo its not that wonderful either, but it might suit your request. The only problem i have with it is that its obviously a lolicon story... But since you dont mind Kure-nai, you probably wont mind it.

As for your choice of chinese literature, this one should fit into your criteria very well. 傳說中的勇者的傳說, a very good novel that blends comedy, political and fighting all into one very well.

Personally, I am not a mecha fan, so I don't know about gundam series.

Lastly, I would suggest you give some series a try should it seem to attract you in some way, who knows, things might prove better than you expected. Even for us, we sometimes have to just try to find out what series are good =D

In some cases can help the english wiki to find the title in another language, if there is also a wiki entry for the series in another language and if the title is written right ;), since often bots add those title names to the wiki. You have to look into the view source or edit page, there you can find those normaly at the end of the page... looks like:

as an example

.
.
.

[[cs:Mahó Sensei Negima!]]
[[da:Negima! Magister Negi Magi]]
[[de:Magister Negi Magi]]
[[es:Mahō Sensei Negima]]
[[eo:Magister Negi Magi]]
[[fr:Negima!]]
[[ko:마법선생 네기마!]]
[[id:Negima Magister Negi Magi]]
[[it:Negima]]
[[nl:Negima!: Magister Negi Magi]]
[[ja:魔法先生ネギま!]]
[[pl:Mahō Sensei Negima]]
[[pt:Negima!]]
[[ru:Negima!: Magister Negi Magi]]
[[fi:Mahō sensei Negima!]]
[[sv:Negima]]
[[th:คุณครูจอมเวท เนกิมะ!]]
[[vi:Mahō Sensei Negima!]]
[[zh:魔法老师]]
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

Probably not, when I'm reading usually I'm really engrossed in it and will just keep reading until I've finshed all the books :p
Furthermore I probably don't have the dedication to keep translating, it might interest me for a few chapters or even a whole book, but after that I'll probably lose interest.

For Kure-nai, its not Ugly sacrifice? Its more like a fest or a ritual...?

SnS and Wolf and Spice, please don't touch them, those are currently off limits. The rest are all fine, though I think SAO is more or less completed, vol 2 i mean... As for Rental Magica, good luck if you try, i cant help with the magical terms, especially the specific ones... Other than that, I shld be able to help, more or less. KnS, help is welcome haha. As for Kure-nai, its a good novel, but its very loli based.
