Honestly, I seldom visit 2chan. But since 4chan is a spawn of 2chan, I presume it's a milder form of 4chan. I might be wrong of course. Moreover, different threads may be of different standards. Some may be more offensive and derogatory than others, some may have better quality posts. 2ch also has its share of trash, as its hard to administer such a large site.
To be honest, all three are scary.
I sometimes go to 4channel. Though the "u rage u lose" games are damn...well, anyways.

@Cosmic Jp-->Cn Google Translate isn't perfect, but I sometimes get a glimpse of what they say, and I find some other comments translated that have originated from there.

Ehh, 4chan isn't really as horrible as people make it out to be. I go to /k/, /v/, /sci/, /mu/, /a/, /w/, /c/, and even /b/. while latenight /b/ can get...odd (for lack of a better term) its not like this horrid blackhole of the internet people make it out to be. It's come down to tripfag circlejerk threads, pony threads, you X you X, threads, and stuff like that. It's no worse than really any image based site on teh interwebz

This will give you an idea of the rivalries and what many boards are about, if you look around. /b/ is a cancer. They or /a/, (or the /v/irgins,) posted several pictures of penises on this mangaka's twitter, in reaction to her surge in popularity among /a/nons.
