A guy reading 賽馬報... What is the translation for this? Horse racing report? Horse racing newspaper/article?
IMHO, 新聞 means 'newspaper' (in Japanese). So, horse racing (news)paper would be fine.ShadowZeroHeart wrote:A guy reading 賽馬報... What is the translation for this? Horse racing report? Horse racing newspaper/article?
警視廳 is 警視庁 in Japanese. A quick search on the dictionary yields this:ShadowZeroHeart wrote: 警視廳
commissary // deputy inspector〈米〉 // police superintendent〈英〉 // superintendent〈英〉 (Not really sure which one. Up to you...)警視
............ Not sure. Maybe literal translation needed?特殊資料整理室
the department Kirika is in charge of?
Yeah... you got more or less what i found... i used superintendent. It was the only 1 i found. And I wasnt sure about whether the word Tokyo must be included, but now i included it. And as for the last one, I translated it into special information consolidation department. Wiki gives Special Investigation Unit.Zyzzyva165 wrote:警視廳 is 警視庁 in Japanese. (A title of one of the ranks of the Japan Police, of the middle ranked officers.) From the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Tachibana Kirika. (The headquarters of the Tokyo Metropolitian area of Japan).警视 - 日本警察的官銜名稱, 屬於中階警官的層級.
警視廳 - 日本東京都的警察中央本部.
“I am superintendent (Note: A title of a rank of the Japan Police, it belongs to a middle ranked officer.) Tachibana Kirika sent by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (Note: Japan’s east Tokyo central main base of the police force). It is a pleasure to meet you.”
Might be "investigation area" considering the context it is used (remember that the supernatural investigation department of the police in KnS).ShadowZeroHeart wrote:盤檢處 what is the translation? inspection area?
Something like that, I suppose... I'm not pretty sure anyway, it's just a suggestion.ShadowZeroHeart wrote:Oh, sorry if i wasnt clear enough. Basically it is the place where police would seal off areas? So they set up a barracade and inspects people who intend to go in and stuff? It is similar to those where they stop cars to inspect and stuff like that... Not sure what the correct translation is...
It seems to be a name of a place. Google Translate (I feel so noob to use an online translator T_T) returned me a translation saying: "Sunshine Boulevard."ShadowZeroHeart wrote:陽光大道
Is the translation main road or something?
I thought so as well, but doing a search online shows it is a chinese phrase, rather than a name. Maybe it is a place in Japan, but I have no idea =XAssassin wrote:It seems to be a name of a place.
