Since this thread (and project) haven't been very active I thought I would ping here. I read the first volume of this series, loved it, and immediately ordered the rest. I have some interest in TL'ing it, but I wanted to get something like a status update so I know what to work on.

So should I give it a shot?

So I posted a message on Hazue's talk page (he's the other translator for volume 1). It doesn't sound like he wants to continue. With larethian saying he's going to stop after chapter 5 that means there are already two translators on volume 1 but neither one is planning to continue.

I know Baka-Tsuki's guidelines say max two translators per volume, but what's the proper procedure here?

I think it's fine if neither larethian nor Hazue want to continue translating it. Just to be sure, verify it again with larethian.

You can work on it, if you want to.

Seeing that how the main TL has lost interest in translating it and it hasn't been updated for a while... does this mean that the translation of this series is.... canceled :O?

Spoiler! :
I think Murasaki got added in volume 4 right? v5 was short stories so I'm pretty sure she got added earlier. Other than that, there are no new girls. So there really aren't any new girls after v5. Sasagawa is not a contender so even though she appeared in the illustrations, don't count her in.

Anyway, I think Murasaki's addition was nice to the story. She adds additional breadth to the type of characters in the story and it allows the author to share his doujin making experience through the character. The only problem I have is that she has some good feelings towards Naoki. I think it's totally unnecessary.

The main heroines remain at 3:
1. Momo
2. Midori
3. Azuki

I would count Murasaki as minor contender. Volume 7 has some great developments that makes me tempted to TL this again, but I got to resist this and Mahouka so that I can work on Itsuten

I wonder how much will the relationships of all the characters change after all the interesting develpoment happened in vol 7 ? Seeing Midori finally accept Naoki as an otaku now and Momo getting close with the handsome guy (What was his name again?)

v8 synopsis & speculations
Spoiler! :
synopsis:
Since the sch cultural festival, I couldn't recover and continued avoiding Hasegawa.
OTH, Koigasaki and Suzuki's distance seems to be getting closer.
Sakurai-san asked me whether I got anything on Wed next week; which happened to be my birthday ---

speculations:
Naoki got rejected <-- Azuki in offensive mode |||| Suzuki <-- closer --> Momo

If you are finished with vol 8 on the plane that means you finally have time to continue translate right ? Men! I am really looking forward to reading a whole vol 8 now, especially when you posted a small part of chap 1 ?
