I just noticed today that a user by the name of GDsMDDLFNGR has signed up for the prologue to the fifth volume. Anyone have any idea who he/she is? @.@

GDsMDDLFNGR is an old school member and regular translator here. Your senpai. He doesn't post very often so if you want to get a hold of him PMing is your best bet.

I plan on translating a few chapters, though which chapters I can't tell When I finish a chapter, I'll probably just go for the next available one.

Cool! It's nice to see that more people are starting to show interest in translating this series. I mean, the amount of attention that Haruhi has been getting is just...unfair! xD

I totally agree!! Haruhi isnt that perfect and good. It is over-popular for some unknown reason!!
However... I do wish people pay more attention to SnS and KnS as well... KnS is GOOD! and SnS is tough >"< LOLz!

I'm working on chapter 1 of volume 2 at the moment. I am doing so.. very slowly . I meant to go a bit faster but I got blindsided by IRL right around the time I began on it, and I've manged to post only about 3 pages in the last week (though I have a few more roughs in the pipeline).

At any rate, if you wanted to start on the second chapter of that volume, that might make sense. If I were to translate the whole book, I would, at my present rate, be done sometime in 2011. I do plan on picking up the pace a bit once I get moved, but there's no way I can translate it quickly.

Of course if you want to translate some other volume, I'll have nothingto say about it. Whichever you translate, there are some terms I've seen already that I think we ought to settle on an English translation for, for the sake of consistency. So if you start work from the Japanese it might be best if you started a terminology thread. In particular I think we need to have a consistent translation of "賢狼".

I was going to post this in the other thread, but here will do. So far I've been translating "賢狼" as "wise wolf", but I think that is wrong. Horo is clearly using this as something like a title, so I think it might be better to translate it as something like "sage wolf", "wolf sage", or even "wolf-sage" (though I don't really like the last). But that would have to be made consistent across all the volumes, so I'll look at them to see how it has been translated before..

Anyway, let me know which chapters you're working on, if you work on v2.
