Wild words... what font is that, i cant find that font type...
Font size 6 small enough?
Leveling function found, and used in the newer page...
What do you mean by the dirt outside the panels?
png files are way bigger arent they? @@ so why use png?

It depends of the dpi. If the height is 1400 pixels and if it's 72 dpi then a fond size of 14 is ok.
What do you mean by the dirt outside the panels?
Dirt at the top left for example.

Better quality. And with the correct options the .png are only slightly bigger.

What... dirt...?
Don't see whats wrong @@
and how to translate

高閨內的千金

and

高嶺之花?

高嶺之花 = describes a female that is seemingly out of reach, like a flower on a high cliff?
so is it unattainable flower amidst the cliffs? or...?
Since a joke is made regarding a flower on high mountains later... so any suggestions? >"<

Frankly editing manga isn't something that can be improvised.
I've only mentionned a small part of the process, if you really want to edit manga then you have to read some manga editing guide and some photoshop guide, and then practice by yourself before doing any release.

And even after that, it's a bad thing to edit a manga that you're translating. You need people to check your work/reformulate your translation before the editing process and someone to check the final result.
When people do everything themselves, the result is at most average.

Oh my...test, translations, manga, hahaha....but I have linked to this section in the forums for a teaser on the novel section. I actually think it would be okay to do manga...anyway, this is what I did, because I hit that same scenario, but in Japanese. (the text that is.)

I translated it at first as Yuuya saying that Sierra is like a flower on a high cliff. (it's implied that that flower isn't going to be gotten easily.)

Then the joke is in Araki showing how much he isn't paying attention, by thinking flower here refers to her beauty. He didn't pay attention enough to understand that it was meant as "unattainable." So I couldn't translate it as unattainable first, because of this joke. You kind of have to just stick with something like "Flower on a high cliff", but you can word it or do whatever you want with it. It's just because of the joke, you can't say unattainable until later, because then it sounds wierd when Jin responds by linking the word "unattainable" and "yeah, she's pretty like a flower" together.

But that's just my two cents.

Sorry... Errm... Krikit, I might wanna check your text!

The joke is that Sierra is referred to as "Flower on a high cliff".

And Araki Jin said "Wow, the name of that flower sure sounds like a human." Meaning he wasnt paying attention, thinking that Sierra refers to a flower on a high cliff literally, rather than the school idol...

P.S. or at least in my chinese text =X

sigh...I'm off to post the text in the help section ^_^. Geez I just don't get jokes...sigh. Thanks for pointing it out though ^_^

EDIT: I found the major difference.

I wrote: "The person who's name seems like a flower"

while it should perhaps be: "The flower who's name sounds like a person."

The later seems to show that Jin was completely clueless, while the first one shows he doesn't fully comprehend the statement, but he knows enough to assume Yuuya is talking about a pretty girl, but that's it. Then he says how her name, (the girls name) sounds like the name of a prominent flower.

So it's kind of difficult, but the joke is still plausible both ways....lol

Argh I told you yes :o
If you translate it, I will edit it.

About the translation I have a question: is it really a hostel or is it a dorm (a school dorm)?

I'm speaking from experience from when I came to Japan.

A hostel is a place where travelers can sleep extermely cheap. They usually stay a week, but I was in one for a month looking for an apartment. A hostel is cramped and depending on the owner, could be clean or dirty. For me, it was mostly clean, but I had a single room. (I couldn't lie down without curling up though. It wasn't even 6' wide or long. But it was single so I could lock my bags up in it.) A hostel usually though has the main room where anywhere from 5-20 people could be sharing a room, or more. With beds bunked up so close that you can't sit up in the bed, you have to literally roll off. And if your on the third bunk bed...too bad for you :)

A dorm is made for longer term residence, for a specific purpose. School accomodations are usually in dorm fashion, because of their purpose to only house students. They can have anywhere from 1-5 people to a room. The living spaces are usually larger, and the kitchen and recreation spaces are shared by a great many people.

That's the difference....so if I had to say anything, I'm pretty sure they are living in a school dorm ^_^

.doc, .txt or .rtf, anything is fine ^^
ShadowZeroHeart wrote:And do you need a specific format of how i show which box is which words?
You can indicate page breaks with a "###".
If there are bubbles split in two (or more), do it also for the translation.
For the rest, if you follow the reading order, it should be ok without any specific format.
But if you want you can put dialogs and thoughts between " ", and nothing when it's a narration box or text outside a bubble.
