It's the latter, though the former does sound Russian enough. There's a Nikita Khrushchev, for reference.Darklor wrote:Is there a naming convention for Kreuzhev/ Croitsef?

Actualy her surname Kroitseva. The second surname is close but not accurately.Teh_ping wrote:It's the latter, though the former does sound Russian enough. There's a Nikita Khrushchev, for reference.Darklor wrote:Is there a naming convention for Kreuzhev/ Croitsef?
Most of the Russian last names has one of this three suffix: -ov, -ev, -in.
In our case we need use the suffix "-ev" and because she's a girl we have to add letter "a" in the end of surname.
Some links about Russian surnames:

Or, if you take the variant from the website: http://www12.atwiki.jp/index-index/pages/229.html
Surname must be Kroicheva.

Well, that's enough information for me. But Marcus H. noted that it was the given name in the Index DVD booklet, so that's considered canon. @UI)$(&@)(&()&()Which one is it?vmks wrote:Added some info in my first post.
Thank you for your input though.

Well, thank you, but you also have to give credit to the other translators, especially to js06.

I just want to say congratulations on finishing the translation for the main series.
Well, I have one question...is it possible for you to make PDFs of the volumes that have been translated like what has been done for Hidan no Aria?

Re: To Aru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index)
I also wish to thank you all for finishing translation of this series. I only discovered the website in May and have hurriedly read all the translations as they have been published (waiting to read new testament until WW3 was over was possibly the most excruciating 3 weeks of my life). I couldn't put up with the TnA in the anime and manga anymore so I was desperate to read the light novels. I lost many nights of sleep and thank you all for each one.

New Testament Volume 2 will be released on August 10th according to Index wiki. But the cover is circulating around the internet.
