Plenty other translators are Singaporean too. (: I won't spoil it for you though, find out for yourself.

Like I said on the AW&SAO thread, you'll have to wait for Xplorer30 to give it a green light. Technically there's supposed to be no more than 1 translator per volume, to ensure consistency and continuity. Another translator can hop on if the current on stops or goes MIA/KIA.

...though I understand why the Chinese translators can do it so fast, one volume has like 8-10 guys working on it.

I cam across something while translating V11:

Niko uses '-anesan' （姐さん）to refer to Fuuko, instead of the usual '-neesan' （姉さん）(Which also reminds me to go back and check the Japanese raw for all the '-neesans's...)

A quick Google search threw up some confusing and contradictory results, so I'd like to ask the Japanese-literate here, what's the difference between these two? In what way do they mean different things?

Maybe it's more respectful to use "ane" instead of "onee" or "nee".

From what I can sift from online discussions, 'ane' is either old-fashioned or talking with your own sister, while 'onee-' is used in reference to your sister.

Man, I wish Google was as precise as it used to be...

From what I've seen :
- "ane" is a respectful form. Examples in BakaTest ("ane-ue", Hideyoshi to Yuuko), TWGOK ("ane-ue", Kusunoki to Hinoki), or Shana ("ane-san", Eita to Margery).
- "onee" is the common one. Plenty of examples.
- "nee" is the familiar version. Plenty of examples too.

Note that they aren't always used to real older sisters, but also to persons seen as such.

I may be wrong, though.

Yea, it is pretty hard to convert those endings to English form so I just keep them all to save my brain for something else.

Let's just say that they have different levels of respect and familiarity to name callings, and it's used way more than both English or Chinese people.

Regarding the Green King's name, グリーングランデ, I think it still should be Green Grandee not Grandeur.

Grandee refers to people of a somewhat comparable, exalted position, roughly synonymous with magnate.By extension the term can refer informally to any important person of high status, particularly a wealthy, land owning, long-time resident in an area. I think that description fits the Green King pretty well, since it also kinda hints at the fact that the Green King is an Originator.

Grandeur on the other hand is defined as 'splendour and impressiveness', it kinda fits but I still think Grandee is the more accurate name.

The Chinese official translated novels also used Grandee.

I concur...depending on the pronounciation, 'grandeur' still sounds very different from 'gurande' (This army can't type in other languages.)

Well then, I'll go back and fix some of the 'granduer' in the latest uploads. I seem to recall one or two in SS1...

I had it as Grandee before following the jp wiki, but it changed to Grandeur so I asked around and changed it. Now the wiki changed back to Grandee again, sigh...

I'm stuck on this term again...

Niko refers to what I suppose is her strongest players in Prominence, the equivalent of the Four Elements in NN, or Manganese and Cobalt Blade is to Blue Knight. In kanji, it's written as 'Three Beasts', 三獣士. The furigana above it is either 'toriburekkusu,' トリブレックス, or 'toripurekkusu,' トリプレックス. From the resolution of my Jap raws, i can't see which one is the right one.

Anyone have any ideas what it's supposed to be in English?
