I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a talk of making an anime for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei?

Nope. But I'm pretty sure that there will be one in the future.

i doubt about the anime adaptation. very difficult to make one.
i don't know how to cover 4 volumes in 12 episodes or 24 episodes.
to much info dump and mologues. i bet they will skip it.

for some info they can use chibi and graphs same as was used in manga, but they will still have to skip a lot, probably it will be on same level as manga. or they could use last 2 min to explain it.

when we will get it it will probably be the same as was for SAO, it will look rushed for us novel readers,

let's just hope good studio get this title and let's hope for no cenzure.

Maybe like in Aim for the Top! Gunbuster they could have "omake" lessons, only instead of science it would be about magic.

I doubt they'll make an anime for this anytime soon. There's just too many details to cover, and I don't think 12 or 24 episodes can do it. To be honest, I don't even think 48 episodes can cover everything upto this point especially if they animate volume 8.

Although, I do hope they make one in the foreseeable future. This novel is very popular in Japan.

they will try to animate 4 volumes like what they did in SAO.
because 2 volumes is too little to understand the Plot.

furthermore, the development of the story is too slow. I'll bet that until episode five or six, nothing happen and we will not see any action at all.

Hah. If Horizon could get an excellent anime adaptation that spent an entire cour on one volume, I'm sure someone is up to the task of giving MKnR an adaptation.

I hope it isn't the same studio that wrecked the Campione anime.

That's our greatest fear.

Reason for an anime:
1. MKNR is great and already has a manga.
2. The world is well build.

Reason against:
1. Magic's Complexity
2. The magic don't need sound. You just have to use your CAD (That's right, Leo's CAD is functionning with his voice but he is one exception) In a lot of anime, the characters are shouting the name of their techniques. Naruto, Fairy Tail (Fire Dragon's fist...), One Piece (Gum Gum no)...

The following was in Accel World...http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/9180 ... pshot1.jpg

I'd say it looks likely that the anime will be announced in October, my guess is 2 cour.

There was a massive fuss about it around the time that episode aired. It's more likely that was simply an advertisement for a related publication, rather then anything related to an anime happening.

It happens all the time. Take a look at pretty much any series where the characters walk into a store selling manga/LN/anime and you'll see posters/books/dvds/etc for a bunch of the publishers or animator's series' (eg Asobi ni Iku yo, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, the recent Nyaruko-san series', etc).

Go check out the sales. It should be rather high. If you could, do post it here.

If any volume is in the Top 10 ranking for at least a year, you know it's coming. Don't talk about SAO, it's become useless, after all only the first volumes were good. No offense.
