I am surprise nobody posted a reply to the summaries and the illustrations I put up in the previous page. It is kind of hard to start discussions here on the request page. So Kira when you said "when are we going to start discussion in this page", that is easier said than done my friend!

Blame it on AnimeSuki. Actually, it has become that many LN threads become places to discuss terminology. So why not start with that? Re: Oda Nobuna no Yabou
The anime is really really good. The episodes had a lot of work into it, especially episode 4. Camera works, music, drama, history like the Atsumori song. and battle scenes. The Atsumori actually was sung by Oda Nobunaga in the original history a lot of times, the Light Novel and anime didn't change that so it was interesting. By far the one of the best or most likely the best anime in this Summer. I am usually humble so I don't often say something like that. I think everyone is not posting anything due to the fact there is a lot of History in Oda Nobuna no Yabou. So thoughts are like "it can be quite hard to get into without knowing the history". This Light Novel explains the original history while changing it. So people can actually learn it and enjoy the contents of the Novel. It plays well in the Light Novel. If I remember correctly, Oda Nobuna no Yabou was place 58 on the Light Novel Oricon charts recently.

Re: Oda Nobuna no Yabou
The voting process is to attract translators to see whether or not this series is worth translating. Projects that usually don't need any voting usually means the series already is popular or a translator starts the project himself. Most projects go through a voting process to attract translators to pick it up. Usually the most votes counts, although sometimes it is not needed. It helps a lot, it like currency exchange rates on the Global economy, it doesn't affect the Global Economy directly but it does affect it indirectly. The same implies here.
The steps to get the project active is to make a request page, attract translators, when a translator picks it up they'll message the one who set up the project (me, in this case since I set it up), then I contact supervisors like Teh_Ping about the translators the more supervisors I contact the better, the supervisors contact me and says it is all good to start, and finally I message the boss of Baka-Tsuki (thelastguardian) to tell him the project been approve by the supervisors then the Project is approved. I am currently trying to find translators, maybe I should contact translators on other active projects and see if they are interested, but I think I will annoy them. I know a couple of translators but they are currently busy. After that contacting the supervisors are easy I got two that I know. Then I finish it up and the project becomes a teaser until an actual translation comes out.
I hope I can find translators this series is worth it. Usually good Light Novels, have good anime which this series have. I rated Oda Nobuna bo Yabou as the best anime series of this summer, beating everything else even the popular Swords Art Online
Also, I have the rest of the Light Novel's illustrations from volume 1 to 8. If anyone ask me to, I will post them here. The series has good artwork and it outlines what is really happening. Currently I only post the illustrations of volume 1 to 3 and also the summaries of volume 1 to 5. The summaries are brief, but have important details. So far there isn't no Japanese to English translation. I do know that Chinese Translations are at volume 5 so I think I will try to find both Japanese and Chinese translators.

One of the admins approve it with the condition of 1 translated chapter. However, that doesn't make it active, the translator(s) keep the project active.Guest wrote:Then who(whom) give approval to make the project active?Kira0802 wrote: Minimum is 0.

TBH, while you are not wrong about the objective, I don't think anyone in history has picked up a project due to votes. The only one was Teh_Ping with IS.ReaperxKingx wrote:The voting process is to attract translators to see whether or not this series is worth translating. Re: Oda Nobuna no Yabou
Thank you for the notice, I will keep that in mind. While I believe it is true translators don't usually pick projects with the most votes but it does interest them I believe to check it out. Its like seeing what is with all the noise and going to investigate about them. What drives these people's interest in this series? To me in my mind, I think when a translator does translate, they do it because they love reading the series themselves and want to share the enjoyment to others. The translations are done for free and translators do it with their own free time. Unless they have an interest or enjoy it themselves, they wouldn't do it I believe, it is not an obligation. While I do want this Light Novel translated, I believe it got to be loved or interest the translators to enjoy themselves reading it before doing it. Which is why I try to attract more votes to have translators to have at least a look what is all the fuss I and others been making. Let them judge themselves if it is worth reading and sharing it out to others not fortunate enough to learn the native Language the series it is in. I will feel less of a human being if I just made someone do something for me without any regard to their feelings. I want translators to translate the Light Novel while enjoying it themselves in the process.larethian wrote:TBH, while you are not wrong about the objective, I don't think anyone in history has picked up a project due to votes. Use normal font, reaper. There'd be no point of holding words if they are all in bold.
