Here is the topic for the discussion of names and terminology to be used in the translation of Kampfer.

So far there is:

Kämpfer (ケンプファー)
German for fighter.

Zauber
Magic abilities

Gewehr
A Gun or other projectile weapon

Schwert
Melee weapons such as blades

Bracelet of Oath (誓約の腕輪{ブレスレット})
The blue, red, and white bracelet Kämpfer possess in order to transform.

Moderator (モデレーター)
The person responsible for selecting Kämpfer.

Messenger (メッセンジャー)
Responsible for informing the Kämpfer of their new abilities and guiding them afterwards.

Entrails Animal (臓物アニマル)
A stuffed animal franchise that had gone bankrupt.

Iron Star Academy High School (星鐵学院高等学校)

I had been using Shitetsu-Gakuin Academy instead of Iron Star Academy High School (星鐵学院高等学校). I'll go back and change those in Chapter 3.

I generally expand 'ō' to 'ou' in names: Senō, Sangō, Kondō, Ryōka become Senou, Sangou, Kondou, Ryouka. Easier to type, and I find it's easier for me to read that way.

great, thanks for the list. I will update it. I know what you mean, I prefer to just extend the ou, mostly since its a pain to type ō

I indented the details on the lists in the Terminology page, just looks better to me.

I was thinking about the Japanese Honorifics / Loanwords section. What about common Japanese words like baka, sensei, senpai, onii, onee. I know sensei, / senpai are also honorifics, but can be used alone.

There are also verbal "Expressive Interjections"; Higashida was saying 'oi... oi...', and whatever English I could come up with to replace it didn't seem right, so I left it.

yeah you can use all of those, that section is more to just point out that any word without proper english translations should be left in its original form. feel free to add any words to that list you would like.

Wouldn't the equivalent of "oi" in english be "hey"?

Hi Sleepy, actually that's kinda my point. Japanese "oi" usually becomes "hey", but in the context Higashida saying "Hey... hey..." changes its meaning enough to not be quite right. It's really taken from the British "oi" and it's a bit cruder and less accepted than "hey".
