April 10th. Yesterday was the last day of spring vacation, so starting this morning it was a school day. After being woken up by his cute little sister, Itsuka Shidou believed that it would be the start of another normal day. As for the meeting with the girl who called herself a spirit......

Along with a sudden shockwave, the townscape vanished without a trace. In a corner of the street which had now become a crater, the girl was there.

"--You, have you come to kill me too?"

The disaster that will destroy humanity, a monster of unknown origin, and a being that is rejected by the world; the ways to stop this girl number two. Annihilation, and conversation. His little sister Kotori, wrapped in a military uniform, thus said to Shidou: "Since it's like this, just go date her, and make the spirit fall for you!" "Wh.. whaaaaaaaat!?" Enter a new age of boy meets girl!!

Btw, from what I have read so far (most of ch 1 only though) it'd probably be quite similar to Shana, except lighter. Still, I like this main character so far, so that's an improvement. Never did like Yuuji much.

It was an unbelievable scene.

It was as if part of the town just vanished.

In its place was an enormous crater that probably even a falling meteorite couldn't create.

A large number of human figures fluttered in the sky.

It was absurd beyond even the wildest dreams.

However, Shidou did not even notice this abnormality.

----Because, there was something much more extraordinary in front of Shidou's eyes.



That, was a girl.

A girl, wrapped in a strange light, stood there.

"ah........."

The faint sigh dissolves in the air.

The prescence of the girl was so overwhelming that it suppressed that of any other object.

Like metal, yet like cloth, the dress made with a strange material definitely catches the eye.

Attached to the dress, the skirt that radiated light was beautiful enough to cause one to lose consciousness.

However, the beauty of the girl herself overshadows even those.

Her long black hair, like a plume of smoke, entwined around her shoulder and waist.

Coldly looking up at the sky, her eyes were of a strange and hard to describe colour.

Her figure, which would probably make even a goddess feel envious, was warped with weariness, as she stood silently with her lips pursed.

His vision,

His attention,

Even his heart,

----In that moment, they were stolen away.

It was that much,

Excessively,

Abnormally,

So intensely, beautiful.



"----Your...."

Dazed, Shidou spoke for the first time.

Even if my throat and eyes are destroyed due to blasphemy—he thought.

The girl slowly shifted her sight downwards.

"...name, is?"

His voice, carrying the question from the bottom of his heart, shook the air.

However.

"----I have no such thing"

With a sad look, the girl replied.

"......"

At that time.

The two's eyes crossed----Itsuka Shidou's story had begun.
