I can somewhat understand the mods want to reserve control over new topics there (though I still prefer to have all general rights, including poll options, opened to everyone). But I cannot see why even posting of replies to existing threads has to face the same kind of restriction.
As a "Feedback" forum, and supposedly as a platform for those who have read the teasers to share their views, doesn't it make more sense to adopt a forum policy that encourages the posting of comments from the general public, instead of discouraging them from doing so as in the current policy?
