That doesn't change the fact that it's a little annoying if you want to get an overview using the "new posts" page. As I said (did I?), at least spam in topics with suitable names...

Btw. I'm against a post limit, since that would (probably) require a mod. I prefer self-restraint.

I would think there should be a way to just unmark threads from being tracked.

You mean so they won't be displayed as "unread"? That would indeed be a neat solution, but I doubt it's possible without a mod.
Also, that would hardly need more server resources, let alone advertisement, so please don't digress.

Well the CDZ became spam/post ego stroke/post building central. The number threads didn't help.
