Re: New Baka-Tsuki Android App: Development
Something's not clearing my download list. Anytime I download something that I have all the chapters on, the download "completes" and then leaves a download bar reading "com.erakk.lnreader.task.DownloadNovelContentTask@########", you get the idea with the last #s, probably the directory for the novel. But otherwise it doesnt remove itself, and after a while, if I try to download a few novels, it crashes

Hi.
After upgrading to the new version, Fullscreen option doesn't work properly for me.
The OS buttons disappear as before, but the application header remains . The result can be seen on the screenshot.

I can't download illustrations with the new update. The timer times out after multiple tries, now I'm lacking the most of the illustrations for the novels.

Re: New Baka-Tsuki Android App: Development
Newest version still having the problem where the thumbnails don't work even after downloading a whole volume, if there is no Internet connection.
A particular thumbnail will display with no connection if it has recwntly been viewed beforehand with a connection present (I guess it's cached in webview or something) but if I download a volume without viewing it, then turn on airplane mode and try to view a downloaded chapter, the thumbnails are broken.
Oh also thumbnails are still being saved all in the images folder root with weird filenames instead of sorted into folders and with .jpg extensions. Is this normal behavior now with updated php handling?
And, yeah, https still breaks thumbnails entirely.

Windowed mode on the newest version has this grey gap on the top of the screen. And it's not constant but a lot of times when resuming a novel on the most recent versions it resumes at the start of the chapter instead of wherever I was. Full screen's also missing the Prev/Next buttons still

Is it possible to manually add other novels in the database? I.e. light novels that aren't in any lists of baka tsuki.

Empty Bitmap for covers, no thumbs or full version of illustrations. I think thumbs were working a couple months ago, but the rest was like this.

Re: New Baka-Tsuki Android App: Development
Hello. Since the latest update, I have been unable to use the app. The app opens just fine but if I try to read a chapter, the app hangs and then force closes. Any suggestions to solve this problem? Just in case it is important, I am using android 2.3. Thanks in advance.

For thumbs/full version, it should be fixed in this version. As for cover, what is the affected novel?seether28 wrote:Empty Bitmap for covers, no thumbs or full version of illustrations. I think thumbs were working a couple months ago, but the rest was like this.

I don't have android 2.3 anymore, you should consider to upgrade the device. If not possible, can you upload the log cat. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1726238 for details on how-to-logcat.Guest wrote:Hello. Re: New Baka-Tsuki Android App: Development
Hello Nandaka,
I was trying to understand how your app retrieves and parses information information from the site? In particular, which pages you retrieve the list of project pages from and what type of commands you use to do it (api list=categorymembers, parsing category page html, etc).
I want to be able to understand how changes to the wiki organization (category or page structure) would help or hurt the app (such as did my recategorizing some projects into "Web_novel_(English)" prevent the app from working for those projects?).
I did look through the gitHub a bit, and I think I found some of those answers, but the size and complexity of the project is a bit too much for me to be able to follow everything or be confident about what I do find. I'll summarize what I think I understand so far, so could you correct anything I got wrong?
For finding project titles, you go to the language page, such as "Category:English" and look at the subcategories. You then retrieve the list of the pages from each subcategory, such as "Light_novel_(English)" (how do you do this, mediawiki api or parsing html?). I think that info was laid out in a readme for altnernate languages, but I assume it works the same for English projects?
For each project page, you parse links from the html page content and determine whether the link is formatted like a chapter (not a user page or other type of link. You then process content of each chapter page, the details of which I think matter less for my question, as any changes made to wiki organization shouldn't affect chapter page content.
