Hard-coded text like Haruki's name in the prologue in the speaker field, for example. Is it possible to control that at all?
Looking at LFScriptFunc.fnc and LFScriptFuncEx.fnc, it seems like the commands used in the .bnr files reference those command names altogether. I have no idea how it all works though...

At least, that's my current theory from my previous post. I will try testing it later, but I think there is a pretty high chance this is right.if a line begins with a 「 then the speaker is displayed above. If the previous line was also a sentence or if it was a special line then the speaker's name defaults to 春希, otherwise the speaker's name is pulled from the previous sentence.
I'm not too sure the .bnr files reference those files, because the format looks more like some kind of a storage format than a bytecode format.

Well if you look at the functions in those script files it definitely seems like those functions take arguments. Even if the numbers were opcodes for the functions, I doubt you can do very much by always passing 0s to the functions.
Unless a sequence of numbers were a single instruction. But in that case the compression rate of that format is way too horrible, like what, 16 bytes for a single instruction? LOL!
I'll test it and see if I change the numbers around what happens. If it breaks the game, then, well, there's probably something special to them. If it just displays a different background image, then we'll know some more info about it.

Just wanted to let you guys know that progress has been VERY promising. Though there's still quite a bit to be done, so it will be quite some time before an official project starts on BT, but it looks like it should be doable, hurray!

It's probably not too early to start translating it onto a .txt file from the game text if you want (if you trust that we will follow through with this project and not just drop it ). Just, post on the forums so we don't have multiple people doing the same things.

Too much trouble. The best solution is to auto-insert \n when you convert the script from the wiki into the .txt used by the game.jonathanasdf wrote:Ideally I also want to auto-insert hyphens somehow..
The lenght of a line is 55 characters, you make a script that check if a word is cut and if it's the case you add a "\n" just before the word. (It's easy to find the beginning and the end of a word by checking if there is a space or , or .)
I did that for Fortune Arterial and it's quite easy.

In terms of the script to translate their format to a wiki format, we haven't started on that yet, but our parser is pretty robust right now, just need to teach it more of the format.
But since I have a midterm next week I'm starting to study for it now, and that's taking up a bit of my time...
