although this is cool that BT can now officially work on this, why are you leaving this again?8140! wrote:Understood.
I have abandoned the project myself, so therefore:
I am hereby giving you (Baka-Tsuki) permission to use my current translation of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san in your work.
Good luck!
I am leaving because I decided to start translating the "Emanon Series" by Kajio Shinji (author), and I do not currently have the time to work on other projects.pa3ck123 wrote:although this is cool that BT can now officially work on this, why are you leaving this again?8140! wrote:Understood.

The puns are all indicated at the back of the volumes in the official Chinese Translations. (I buy and read my volumes, so I know. Most references will be to Kamen Riders, while there are plenty other nonsensical ones).cloud wrote:xD Most translators are swamped under their own projects. ;_; I actually enjoyed the anime for this series a lot, but the pun-level on this series is so high it'd be nightmare for me to translate through Chinese. DD: We need more translators to grow on trees. x3
While background knowledge is definitely preferred, it is possible to do with less accurate translations... The references are not that important, so it really isn't that bad.cramped wrote:@Cloud, I don't think it is just because of the puns only. In my POV you need to have quite a good knowledge about H.P.LOVECRAFT's work about the cthulhu/mythos whichi I think is a pain in the arse.
It's bad, because I like so much this series... well, I love comedy o/ and I would like to read Nyaruko, I liked so much the anime, I would like to read the novel too ...cramped wrote:No, since it has been a long time and not a single translator has shown interest in it.
