From the rift, two black drops spilled out. The black drops wriggled and squirmed in the air and became two dragons, flapping gigantic wings that looked like it could completely cover the sky.

"<{{furigana|Shiryuu|Niddhogg}}><ref>Death Dragon</ref>! <{{furigana|Dokuryuu|Fafnir}}><ref>Poison Dragon</ref>! Destroy this hindrance of barrier! And then after that all that nuisance other than Onii-chan! REMOVE THEMMM!"

The face of the screaming Kaya is wrapped by light. The old rag clothing that the girl wore is tinged by light——completely transforming it like a Magical dress. From her forehead's left side a typical horn grew out just like a magic beast's.

An animal warped by magic turns into an evil beast, a human transformed by magic into an Elf, normal spaces warped by magic into haunted grounds, and the same case where a weapon or tool were transformed by magic also exist. An item that had its foundation warped into a Sacred Treasure, to a degree where it's impossible to be imitated by alchemy, were legendary magic items that were rarely discovered in haunted grounds where evil beasts gathered.

Kaya chanted magic that pulled the evil beasts and Sacred Treasure from somewhere.

The created space became the world of fire from Norse mythology. Like being imprisoned in a microwave oven, there was already nothing left to be done except accepting the fate of death. However——

The one that crashed Large-scale Destruction Magic into Large-scale Destruction Magic was Koyuki.

Vepar, the mermaid of 72 Pillar was releasing near transparent light blue radiance besides the girl.

"Koyuki! ...Even though you are also a first year, for a high level magic that work into space itself...!"

"Interesting! If its just ordinary dragon slaying then nobody will be amazed!"

Kanae challenged the death dragon Nidhogg. [<{{furigana|Fujin Koneko|Storm Cat}}>]<ref>Wind God Kitten</ref> doesn't utilize Iai. With a good command of her agile body, Kanae's way of fighting was with an overwhelming number of attacks driving the opponent into a corner.

The dragon waved its claws at random because its face was covered by mist. After all it should just be an animal so Kanae easily evaded the rough attack and with her short sword, one layer, two layers were hacked into pieces.

However toward the hard skin "GIN! GIN!" the consecutive attacks only lightly bounced.

Nidhogg keep waving both of his arm's claws not even feeling the attack. The attack doesn't even compare to a mosquito's bite.

While Kanae evades with paper-thin margin——this time she aimed at the inside of the joint and swung her katana.

However even that attack while filled with biological knowledge, "GIN!" was repelled from the hardness feedback.

Kanae "Chih" clicked her tongue.

...The powerlessness that cannot even be compensated with strengthening magic, unable in admitting that it was her own shortcoming.

With her whole strength, she stabbed the dragon's eyeball. Compared to the skin, the soft eyeball *DOSU!* was pierced by the sword blade.

When she sensed the sword pierced until the bone in the bottom of the eye socket, she released her katana.

Nidhogg that has the katana left in its eye socket struggled violently. Kanae landed in Nidhogg's nose, and hopped gracefully like a dancer.

"——And then the brain!"

With her whole body motion like a spring, Kanae kicked the handle of the katana stuck inside Nidhogg's eyeball and drove it deeper inside. With acrobatic movement the force was amplified many times over, driving in the sword like a hammer.

"BAGIN!" A certain bone deep inside the eye socket <Sphenoid bone><ref>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphenoid_bone</ref>
's cracked response was felt. Even unknown creatures, if they have eyeballs then the eyesocket's construction must be consistently similar. "... I don't need something like life! I'll kill you no matter what even if it means stabbing each other to death!!"

Тайга немедленно успокоилась. Её взгляд был полон презрения, хотя на губах играла беззаботная улыбка. ''Всё верно! Теперь Тайге больше не о чем беспокоиться (в отношении купальника)!''

— Проехали. Дураки вечно несут всякую чушь. К тому же, мне немного жарко, сниму-ка, пожалуй, эту куртку!

Тайга встала и сняла спортивную куртку, которая накрывала её крошечное тело.

Она стояла, гордо выпятив грудь, её руки и ноги были открыты солнечным лучам. Хотя роста она была небольшого, её пропорции были столь же изящными, как у куклы, нигде не было видно ни грамма лишнего жира. Знаменитая своей тигриной свирепостью, Тайга теперь была в одном лишь опасно тонком купальнике...

Несколько секунд стояла тишина...

— О-о-о-о!!! — всеобщий рёв был похож на грохот извержения вулкана. Рюдзи был уверен, что слух его не подвёл.

— Ух! — Ами прикрыла рот рукой. Взгляды её одноклассников теперь были сосредоточены на белой коже Тайги.

Как и Рюдзи до этого, все думали, что ''в купальнике Карманный Тигр будет выглядеть, как ребёнок.'' Они думали, что раз она маленькая и худая, её грудь будет такой плоской и невыразительной, что можно зарыдать горькими слезами от сочувствия.

''Однако же, узрите сами!''

— Ой, что-то мне расхотелось стоять на солнце... Ещё кожа потемнеет.

Угрюмо изогнутые брови бросали тень на её лицо. Когда она повернулась, небрежно потягиваясь и скрестив ноги, стало видно, насколько тонкая у неё фигура. И всё же линии её тела были вполне женскими. Более того... ''Ну? Что вы, парни, думаете об этих грудях? М-м?'' На лице Рюдзи была улыбка заключённого-смертника, покорившегося своей судьбе.

''Вышло просто идеально!''

Они были не большими, но и не маленькими. Как бы там ни было, её купальник выпирал естественным образом, образуя с обеих сторон идеальные чашеобразные выпуклости. Хотя она и выглядела равнодушной, Тайга всё же гордо выпрямилась и качнула мягкими грудями.

Это был шедевр, над которым Рюдзи трудился всю ночь - "фальшивые вставные сиськи".

Оторвав грудные подкладки от одежды, которую Ясуко больше не носила, Рюдзи немного подогнал толщину, вырезав из них гладкую форму, прежде чем сложить их вместе и сшить сложенные части. Они были сшиты так идеально, что даже эксперт не смог бы заметить швов. Наконец, подкладки скрытыми кнопками были приделаны к купальнику. Из-за того, что всё выглядело так естественно, даже Тайга после примерки раскраснелась от смущения. Она даже поклялась Рюдзи, что обязательно наденет такие на свадьбу (хотя, когда она это сказала, было четыре утра...)

— Хмф... Выходит, у неё всё-таки обычная фигура, скукота какая! Но всё равно, она слишком мелкая! — тихо пробормотала Ами, быстро теряя интерес к происходящему и показывая свою коварную натуру.

— Вот дура! — ответила Тайга, отвернувшись от Ами.

— Хорошая работа...

Тайга незаметно сделала ликующий жест, на который Рюдзи ответил точно таким же движением под водой.

Мальчики начали перешёптываться между собой, поскольку многие из них, вероятно, видели ту прошлогоднюю фотку с "жалкой грудью". "Они у неё так подросли всего за год...", "Проверка: рост груди подтверждаю...", "Теперь тигр определённо нравится мне больше..." Кажется, все были успешно одурачены. Тайга находилась в необычно приподнятом настроении и прямо-таки вся сияла, когда снова присела на край бассейна, опустив ноги в воду.

— Рюдзи, научи меня так делать. Ну, это, когда ты стреляешь струёй воды. Я хочу испытать на Минори, — попросила она, сложив руки. ''Она имеет в виду водяной пистолет?''

— О! Сначала плотно складываешь руки вместе, а затем опускаешь их в воду...

— Вот так?

Тайга послушно сложила руки, как ей показывал Рюдзи и наклонилась вперёд, опуская их в воду. ''Попалась...'' Рюдзи прицелился в лицо, которое к нему приблизилось, и...

Тайга изо всех сил старалась увернуться, но из-за того, что она не могла ни открыть глаз, ни встать, ей оставалось только заслонять лицо руками. Рюдзи думал, что это, пожалуй, первый раз, когда он взял верх над Тайгой.

— Ну вот же, всё просто!

Но, как говорится, возгордись - и ты повержен.

— Эй! Прекрати мучить Тайгу!

— Бвах!

''Плеск!'' Рюдзи почувствовал мощный толчок в нос, когда вода попала внутрь и дошла до самого горла. Только через несколько секунд он понял, что произошло, а ещё через пару секунд до него дошло, что водой стреляла Минори, стоявшая довольно далеко.

— А-ха-ха-ха-ха! Что, получил? Вот она, мощь Водяной Пушки Кусиэды, секрет, передающийся из поколения в поколение!

— К-как ты это сделала?! Потому что это чертовски больно!

— Тому, кто пристаёт к Тайге, я не скажу! Бе-е!

— Победа! — Минори показала пальцами букву V и легко поплыла к самой глубокой центральной части бассейна. Глаза Тайги возбуждённо сверкали, она улыбалась своей спасительнице, но Минори бросила на Тайгу лишь один взгляд и хихикнула:

— Операция "Поддельные Сиськи"...

Отчалив с этим комментарием, она погрузилась в воду, как крокодил на охоте. Когда её подозрительный силуэт скрылся...

— Д-догадалась уже...

— Минори - она такая...

Рюдзи и Тайга ошеломлённо застыли у борта бассейна, держась за руки.

А в этот момент на другом конце бассейна... ''Плюх!'' Шумный плеск воды выдернул Рюдзи из задумчивости, и он повернулся посмотреть.

— Уа-ха-ха-ха-ха! Как тебе это? Несправедливо, что ты один такой популярный!

— Мы глубоко возмущены таким неравноправием!

Ното и Харута зло ухмылялись на краю бассейна. Китамура, у которого был угнетённый вид после того, как его прогнала Тайга (или это только казалось?), вынырнул из воды.

— Кха! Кха! Ах вы ж... А ну идите сюда! Теперь моя очередь вас окунать!

Китамура всего в два гребка добрался до бортика, быстро вылез и схватил Ното, который пытался удрать. Забыв о том, что он староста класса, Китамура поднял Ното высоко в воздух и приготовился зашвырнуть его подальше.

— П-п-п-прекрати! Мои очки, мои очки... О-О-А-А-А-А!!!

— Лето настало, ребятки! Ха!!!

Без дальнейших предисловий Китамура выгнулся и метнул Ното в бассейн, спиной в воду, подняв в воздух грандиозный фонтан брызг. В ту же минуту кто-то ещё схватил Харуту на другом конце бассейна, не давая ему шевельнуть ни рукой, ни ногой. Ему оставалось только ждать, когда его тоже швырнут в воду...

— Сейчас тоже окунёшься! Адские Салазки!!!

''БУЛТЫХ!''

— Ну что же! Да начнётся фестиваль!

— Вы сейчас все окунётесь!

В мгновение ока территория бассейна превратилась в настоящий ад. На тех, кто уже был в воде, падали следующие жертвы, а тех, кто пытался выбраться, быстро сталкивали обратно.

— Кья-а! Стойте, стойте, стойте... Не-е-ет!!!

Даже Нанако, уже решившую было вздремнуть, кинули в бассейн. Началась шумная битва, в которой участвовали все без разбора — и мальчики и девочки.

— Уа-а! А это не опасно немного? — воскликнул Рюдзи, потому с него уже вода лила ручьём из-за фонтанов брызг, поднимаемых его одноклассниками. Когда он уже одной ногой выбрался из бассейна...

— Цель обнаружена!

— В атаку, моя софтбольная напарница!

— А? Эй! Эй, эй, о-а-а-а!!!

Справа от него была Минори, а слева - Китамура. Когда он опомнился, они оба уже крепко держали его за руки, а затем он понял, что летит по воздуху, после чего обрушился спиной в бассейн.

Очумело пробиваясь сквозь тучи белых пузырьков, Рюдзи только через некоторое время смог, наконец, вынырнуть из воды.

— Н-ну, вы двое!.. Кха! Кха!

Софтбольный дуэт уже ушёл искать следующую жертву... "Чего?! Вы это взаправду?! Издеваетесь, что ли?!" ''Это, похоже, были вопли Маи...''

Стоя перед Рюдзи, Тайга смеялась от всей души.

— О, да! Вот ты и упал! Что, небось, понравилось, когда Минори до тебя руками дотронулась?

Она радостно смотрела вниз на Рюдзи. ''Кажется, никто не осмелится дотронуться до Карманного Тигра...'' И Тайга, видимо, была того же мнения, чем и объяснялся её беззаботный вид.

— Н-ну, ты... Раз так, я тебя сам сброшу...

И стоило ему договорить...

— Вот. Ты. Где~. Похоже, кое-кого ещё не сбросили в воду~", — раздался крайне злорадный голос из-за спины Тайги. ''Точно, мы забыли об эксперте по созданию проблем - Кавасиме Ами.''

— Ты!..

Ами схватила захваченную врасплох и совершенно беззащитную Тайгу за пояс ещё прежде, чем та успела среагировать.

— Поиграем~! Ничего личного, ясно~? Полетели~!

''БУЛТЫХ!'' Тайгу швырнули в бассейн, и она с огромным всплеском погрузилась на дно.

— А-ха-ха-ха! Летний бросок!

— Слушай, ты, думаешь, у тебя есть время молоть подобную беззаботную чепуху?! Удирала б лучше!

— Хе-хе! Ами-тян хочется собственными глазами увидеть жалкую заплаканную физиономию этого задиристого тигра!

Ами радостно подпрыгивала, но Тайга всё не всплывала. Всё, что можно было видеть - это редкие пузыри, поднимавшиеся на поверхность, но и они скоро прекратились.

— ...Э? Чего?!

Пока Рюдзи размышлял, сколько же будет на самом деле длиться эта бесконечное ожидание, он подумал: ''А вообще-то, Тайга ведь что-то такое говорила... Что же это было? Вспомнил... Тогда... Ну да, я спросил её: "Почему ты так сильно ненавидишь бассейн?" И Тайга ответила: "Слушай сюда! Это оттого, что я не умею плавать, вот почему я его ненавижу!"''

''Хм-м... Это значит...''

— Она правда не умеет плавать?! Она же утонет!

— Э-э?! Правда?! — лицо Ами тут же побелело. Рюдзи быстро нырнул в бассейн.

После трёх мощных гребков он, наконец, схватил Тайгу, которая так съёжилась, что стала похожа на шар, и всплыл на поверхность - всё на одном дыхании.

— Бвах! Эй! Ты в порядке?! Эй, эй, эй, эй!!!

— Н-н-н-н-нееет! Н-н-не надо!!!...

Тайга начала неистово отбиваться и брыкаться, пытаясь вырваться из рук Рюдзи. Рюдзи получил удар в подбородок, и они оба снова погрузились под воду. Вода заливала ей нос, но Тайгу это, кажется, не волновало. Она всеми силами старалась вырваться. Рюдзи попытался вытолкнуть Тайгу наверх, чтобы её лицо было над водой...

— Плохо! Ик! Ик! Кха! Кха! Она выпала!!!

— Ч-что ты несёшь?! Кха! Кха!

Вода продолжала попадать Тайге в рот, но она всё равно упорно продолжала что-то искать. Она даже не держалась за руки Рюдзи, а её собственные руки были стиснуты у неё на груди, как будто она что-то пыталась скрыть...

— Неужели?!

— Она выпала! Осталась только с одной стороны!

''Когда она сказала "выпала", она имела в виду "это", верно? Да, именно это...''

— Э-Э-Э?!

Это... Одна из фальшивых грудей плавала в нескольких метрах перед ними. Одной рукой держа Тайгу, Рюдзи рванулся, чтобы достать подкладку, пока её никто не заметил...

— Что ж ты делаешь?! Почему не сказала, что не умеешь плавать?!

— Нет, только не приближайся!

Видя, как Тайга и Рюдзи барахтаются в воде, Ами подумала, что они тонут. Она изящно нырнула в воду, чтобы попытаться спасти тонущую парочку. ''О, чёрт! Если так пойдёт, она обнаружит, что у Тайги с одной стороны есть подкладка, а с другой - нет! Бог знает, что она скажет, если узнает... Будь что будет!''

Рюдзи внезапно затащил Тайгу под воду и в считанные секунды как можно деликатнее оттянул грудь купальника отбивающейся Тайги.

После чего он сунул руку внутрь тёплого на ощупь купальника и вложил подкладку обратно на место... ''По-другому никак.'' Ему показалось, что он до чего-то дотронулся... ''Наверное, ничего не поделаешь.''

В тот же миг Рюдзи понял, что Тайга яростно рычит под водой, потому что большие пузыри стали вырываться из тигриной пасти.

— Ами-тян столкнула Карманного Тигра в бассейн...

Одноклассники тихо обменивались новостями, хотя всё было не так просто, как они думали.

— Я уже сказала тебе — я не знала, что ты не умеешь плавать! И вообще, разве я не извинилась уже?

— Простым извинением тут не обойтись...

Слишком обессиленная, чтобы даже рычать на Ами, Тайга лишь опустилась на стол; её глаза среди влажных волос иногда поблёскивали от слёз.

Рюдзи мог только, окаменев, стоять и наблюдать, как эти двое перебрасываются словами. ''Она права. Такое нельзя уладить извинениями.''

После ''того'' случая Тайга произнесла всего два слова, когда её вытащили из воды: "Как унизительно". Она имела в виду не только то, что её толкнули в бассейн, но и ''то самое'', что сделал с ней Рюдзи. ''Это было ради её же блага, хотя, оглядываясь теперь назад, можно сказать, что это, пожалуй, было несколько грубо. По-моему, я, вроде бы, прикоснулся и даже видел нечто, напоминающее ровный горизонт...''

— Это... это всё из-за тебя. Если б не твоя дурацкая выходка, я бы не... не...

— Чего ты бы не? Разве ещё что-то случилось?

— Короче, извиняйся! Извиняйся! Извиняйся! ИЗВИНЯЙСЯ!!!

Тайга вцепилась в стол и стала его яростно трясти. Для Карманного Тигра в такой демонстрации гнева чего-то не хватало. Никто не знал, что причина была в том неописуемом унижении, которое она испытывала из-за того, что её груди (как бы) оказались на виду... То есть, этого не знал никто, кроме Рюдзи.

— Ну правда, что ты от меня хочешь? Я ведь и так всё это время только и делала, что извинялась, разве нет?

Ами, которая со своей ангельской маской стояла напротив Тайги, всё это уже начало надоедать. ''Хе!'' Лёгкая усмешка появилась в уголках её губ.

— Если подумать, я и не знала, что Айсака-сан так не дружит с водой... Какая жалость~. Ах, бедняжка~. Помучалась ты, наверное? Например, когда тебе на уроке говорили не лезть в воду, потому что ты не умеешь плавать?

Ами понизила голос и пустила в ход своё раздражающее "притворное сочувствие". Заметив, что вокруг никого и потому никто ничего не заметит, она кивнула и приторным голосом произнесла: "Понятно~". Оглядываясь, не смотрит ли кто, она ещё более ядовито продолжила:

''Понятия не имею, какая логика стоит за подобной идеей.'' Ами начала использовать свой самый действенный метод в разборках с Тайгой: дразнить Рюдзи, хотя в конце концов именно он оказывался в затруднительном положении.

— Э... Почему это Ами-тян приглашает Такасу-куна?..

— Почему всегда Такасу?!

После всей этой сцены взгляды одноклассников вдруг стали враждебными. ''Нет, минуточку...'' Рюдзи попытался выпутаться из этого дела...

— Точно! Слушай, Такасу-кун, у меня есть вилла~! Не хочешь съездить туда со мной и весело провести время?

— Чего?

Ами прошла перед Тайгой и встала рядом с Рюдзи.

— Ну что ж, решено! Согласен?

Чихуахуа склонила голову набок, её влажные глаза блестели. Настроение в классе стало сумрачным.

— Ну почему именно Такасу?! Как получилось, что он может поехать к ней на виллу?! Почему, Ами-тян, почему?!

— Погоди-ка! Мне проводить лето с тобой - это здесь вообще причём? Ты же вроде как извинялась перед Тайгой?

— М-м? Правда?

''Кажется, я забыла~.'' Ами со своей фальшиво-рассеянной улыбкой махнула рукой и легонько стукнула себя кулаком по голове.

За их спинами Тайга внезапно встала.

— Всё, надоела мне эта чушь! Ну и ладно, катитесь, куда хотите, парочка развратных придурков! 

Закончив, она раздвинула толпу, как Моисей Красное море, и пошла по образовавшемуся между людьми проходу. Слегка раздосадованная, Ами надулась, но не прекратила своих нападок:

— Смотри, не забудь, Такасу-кун! Уверена, нам будет очень весело! Мы проведём там всё лето!

— Может, хватит уже?..

— Э... ты не можешь? Тогда... Точно, ты согласишься, если Юсаку тоже поедет, правда?

Тайга резко остановилась, развернулась и широкими шагами промаршировала обратно мимо толпы зрителей.

— О?!

Тайга продолжала молчать и схватила Рюдзи за ту самую руку, на которой висела Ами.

— Ну и ну~.

— И что бы это?..

Сделав ещё один разворот, Тайга теперь тащила Рюдзи за собой. Ами, казалось, увидела что-то забавное и весело прищурилась. Хотя была перемена, в классной комнате было так тихо, как будто только что пришла весть о гибели Титаника. Стояла такая тишина, что можно было разобрать голоса в соседнем классе. Оно и понятно, ведь для всех остальных то, что они видели, означало: "Карманный Тигр силой отбирает Такасу у Ами-тян"... Они могли только молча сглотнуть.

Один Рюдзи знал, что Тайга обернулась не из-за него, а потому, что Ами сказала: — Юсаку тоже поедет.

— Что такое, Айсака-сан?

— Я не могу позволить тебе решать за всех...

— Раньше ты другое говорила. Ты же сказала, что мы может отправляться, куда угодно, и делать, что хотим?

— Если на всё лето, тогда это другое дело. Но Рюдзи у меня отвечает за готовку и всё остальное, так что я не могу отпустить его с тобой.

— О, боже... В общем, ты хочешь сказать: «Рюдзи - мой»? Как смело с твоей стороны!

— Я никогда этого не говорила. Да и кто стал бы такое говорить? Может, тебе стоит сходить проверить уши? Или мне помочь тебе их прочистить?

Ами смотрела вниз, её губы подёргивались.

Тайга смотрела вверх, раздувая грудь.

Рюдзи их уже не интересовал; ситуация приближалась к критической точке.

Первой шевельнулась Тайга. Она сделала большой шаг вперёд. Сладкая улыбочка появилась на её красивом, белом лице. Она стала на цыпочки и прошептала Ами на ухо:

— Только попробуй что-нибудь такое выкинуть - и я сделаю видео со всей сотней твоих перевоплощений достоянием публики... Нет, постой, их было 150, верно?

На лицо Ами быстро упала мрачная тень, хотя, как и ожидалось от её ангельской маски, оправилась она столь же быстро. Ами мягко улыбнулась, наклонилась и жизнерадостно прошептала на ухо Тайге:

— Если ты это сделаешь, я подам на тебя в суд за нарушение авторских прав на любые мои изображения... Ведь даже Карманный Тигр не может уйти от закона, правда?

— Хы... ху-ху-ху.

— А-ха-ха...

— У-ху-ху-ху-ху-ху...

— А-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха...

Под взглядами всего класса, вены у них на лбу, казалось, вот-вот лопнут.

— Прекратите немедленно!.. Поберегите кулаки!

— М-Минори?!

Минори, забыв об опасности для собственной жизни, выскочила между ними и крепко схватила Тайгу за кулак, которым та уже собиралась ударить.

— А ну разошлись! Разошлись сейчас же!

Пихая Тайгу и Ами в грудь, Минори расталкивала их, пока они не оказались на некотором расстоянии друг от друга, а затем начала их отчитывать:

— Тайга, Кавасима-сан, это уже слишком! Я не стану просить вас непременно быть друзьями, но вам не кажется, что ваши склоки друг с другом переходят всякие границы? Даже я больше не могу просто стоять и смотреть!

— Но, но, послушай, Минори-тян! Это потому, что Айсака-сан относится ко мне, как...

— Всё из-за этой тупой чихуахуа! Почему тебе обязательно нужно было перевестись в нашу школу?! Почему ты непременно должна существовать на этом свете?!

— ДОВОЛЬНО! Замолчали, обе! Отпусти, Тайга! Хватит держать её за воротник! Ты не можешь просто так затевать драку! Я знаю, что ты пытаешься завоевать симпатию кулаками, но в этот раз давайте всё решим в спортивном состязании!

"ЭЭЭЭ?!" Это одинокое восклицание принадлежало Тайге. Все, включая Рюдзи, не проронили ни слова, и только в замешательстве склонили головы. Они никак не могли постичь, какая логика привела Минори к такому выводу. Неожиданно Ами весело рассмеялась.

— Ух ты, это интересно~.

Она уверенно одарила сверкающей улыбкой весь класс.

— Послушайте меня! Хочу, чтобы все поняли: я искренне желаю подружиться с Айсакой-сан! Я завидовала, что она так хорошо поладила с Такасу-куном, и потому наговорила кучу всяких вещей, из-за которых у нас насчёт него возникло множество недоразумений. Но я правда хочу быть ей другом!.. Это всё моя вина, иначе до этого бы не дошло... Но, но... Я серьёзно!

Маска, которая была почти сорвана во время недавней перебранки, теперь была мастерски восстановлена при помощи нескольких красивых слов.

"Она права. Разве может Такасу быть интересен Ами-тян?" Слыша эти перешёптывания, Ами снова улыбнулась. Рюдзи знал, что такое выражение означало: "Всё по плану".

Тайга была единственной, кто не мог с этим смириться.

— Почему?! Ну почему?! Это что, шутка такая?! Почему это у меня должно быть спортивное состязание с этой чихуа? Это даже не смешно, если я это сделаю, то вовеки веков не смогу смыть такой позор! И вообще, Минори, почему ты помогаешь ей, а не мне?!

— ТУПОГОЛОВАЯ!

— АЙ!

Минори немилосердно хватила Тайгу по голове ударом, как в каратэ.

— Тайга, я это делаю для твоего же блага! В качестве школьницы ты ещё можешь рассчитывать на снисхождение, но это не пройдёт, когда ты окончишь школу и пойдёшь работать в нашем обществе! Ты что, так и будешь лезть с кулаками ко всем коллегам и сослуживцам, которые тебе не нравятся? Будь хорошей девочкой, потому что я тоже поеду на виллу, и постараюсь за лето укрепить нашу с ней дружбу! Правда, Ами-тян? Чмок~.

— Ва! Как развязно, Минори-тян!

Крепко обняв Ами, Минори держала её снежно-белое лицо и продолжала её чмокать. Можно было слышать, как некоторые парни шепчут: "Хорошо быть девушкой..." Тайга сердито нахохлилась и сказала:

— Ладно! Прекрасно! Раз Минори так говорит, я приму твой вызов! Но если я выиграю, мы устроим премьеру попурри перевоплощений!

— Тогда если я выиграю, Такасу-кун проведёт лето со мной на моей вилле~.

''И ты этим летом останешься совсем одна!'' Никто в возбуждённой толпе не расслышал злобной фразы, которую Ами добавила шёпотом в конце.

— Итак, поехали! Ту-ду-ду-ду-ду-ду-ду-дум!

Поразительно было слышать, как человеческий язык так искусно изображает барабанный бой. Накалив всеобщее нетерпение своей барабанной дробью, Минори закрыла глаза и сунула руку в пакет из круглосуточного, перемешивая то, что было внутри. В пакете лежали два сложенных листка бумаги одинакового размера. На одном из них был вид состязания, выбранный Тайгой, на другом — Ами. Обе собственной рукой написали, какое состязание они бы хотели устроить.

— ТАДАМ!!!

Барабанная дробь прекратилась, когда Минори извлекла наружу одну из бумажек.

Тайга, Ами, Рюдзи и все остальные ели глазами клочок бумаги, который разворачивала Минори. Все навострили уши, приготовившись слушать то, что там было написано. Под их взглядами она прочистила горло и объявила:

— И ПОБЕДИТЕЛЕМ СТАНОВИТСЯ...

Множество знаков вопроса как будто появилось у всех над головами. ''Она пыталась изобразить иностранный акцент? Что бы это значило?''

"О! Ты пыталась изобразить покойного Дэвида Джонса, верно? Ну, знаете? Тот всем известный иностранец, представитель [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_American_World_Airways Pan American], когда он вручает приз победителям состязаний за панамериканский кубок сумо! У тебя сейчас получилось очень похоже".

Объяснение Китамуры только заставило всех подумать: ''И откуда ты знаешь такое?'' - и лишь ещё больше всё запутало.

— Просто шучу! Короче, веселью конец. Читаем! Исход поединка решит...

Минори сделала длинную паузу, она сначала улыбнулась Ами, а затем насупилась в сторону Тайги.

— ...«заплыв на 25 метров свободным стилем», предложенный Кавасимой Ами-сан!

"О-о-о-о!!!" Отовсюду раздавались аплодисменты. "Благодарю вас! Мне так повезло!" В ответ на общее одобрение Ами улыбнулась и благодарно поклонилась, а Тайга сердито нахмурилась. Жуткие глаза Рюдзи сверкнули. ''Хорошо, конечно, что всё так быстро решилось в честной лотерее, но такой способ состязания слишком нечестный для Тайги, которая плавает как топор.'' Уже начинали слышаться перешёптывания: "Победитель известен заранее".

Состязание было назначено на последний урок плавания. Можно также в скобках заметить, что по слухам, способ состязания, предложенный Тайгой, но так и не выбранный, был "боем без правил".
