Oh hey there just a real quick question but is there any way that actual translations can be hosted here instead of just links? Because I really want to read this series but whenever I click the links in bakareader ex it takes me to pages with eye-meltingly white backgrounds with extremely small text. Which is really weird because when I click the same link on my computer it takes me to a page with a light black background. I mean I can just solve the small text by zooming but the white background just stresses the hell out of my eyes and prevents me from reading it

There was once a time when Nanodesu's policy allowed Baka-Tsuki to host their translations. That time passed, and so did their policy. It was requested we remove them, and, of course, we complied. If you're suggesting we flaut policy and host anyway, à la Mangafox/Mangahere, you may find what's called a sticky situation. Also, please sign your posts with a quadruple tilde (~). SonodaYuki (talk) 00:05, 2 June 2014 (CDT)

No I'm not asking that you ignore their wishes and steal their stuff I was just wondering if there was a specific reason it couldn't be hosted here. Though is there any way to contact them and request a color change to the mobile version of their site? Because I honestly doubt I'm the only one with this issue as I have never seen anyone read a novel in a pure white background. Brightest I've ever seen anyone read something off their phone or tablet is a darkish grey

1. Are you working on the light novels or the web novels? What's the difference?

I'm working from the Chinese translations of the light novels. The web novels were published before the light novels, but the light novels contain more content in terms of character development and extra scenes. In addition, some lines in the web novels were toned down in the light novels. (And there's more fanservice in the light novels.)

2. Hey, dude, the chapters are out of order! Why did you translate Chapter Y before Chapter X?

Simply put, because someone signed up to do Chapter X before I did. Translators work at different speeds, so some chapters may come out ahead of the others. Everyone works at their own pace, so give them some time.

3. So when's your next chapter coming out?

If I got a dollar every time someone asked me this, I would be able to do this for a living. Click on the User Page tab on the top left corner and you will find my progression on the latest chapter as well as a rough estimate on when the chapter will be complete. And, no, it has been scientifically proven that asking me to work faster/harder does not improve translation speed. I am working off of PST in California, so do take that into account when looking for the new chapter on my update days.

4. Are you going to translate all the volumes?

Until otherwise stated, yes.

5. I got the chapter summaries from somewhere else, may I post them in the forums?

Please don't. Last I heard, the chapter summaries flying everywhere absolutely killed all motivation for the translators. So...... Please don't. Please.

6. I want to join the project, where do I sign up?

I don't have the power to actually grant that since I am not the project leader for MKnR, larenthian is. If you are interested in joining the project, drop by the Feedback Thread to let larenthian and Seitsuki know. Following that, inscribe your name onto the Registration page next to which chapter you would like to work on. I will not provide RAWs, so do not ask.

7. I have more questions that you haven't answered here!
Hey Dreyakis! Thanks again for the awesome work. I know you do these translations for fun, but I wanted to ask: would it be okay to send you and some of the other translators/editors on this project a few gift cards or something? Without the Mahouka translators and editors many of us would simply be unable to enjoy a lot of these foreign works. You guys have worked really hard on these translations and I'd love to chance to thank you guys for the awesome job on Mahouka. d4mi3n (talk)

:While I do appreciate the sentiment, we translators are ultimately just that: translators. We do not own the rights to the material and thus should not and cannot receive any profit or benefit from the translations. I am very happy to be able to work on Mahouka and bring it over to an audience that previously was unable to read this, but I will have to turn you down. In fact, the best thing you can do to thank us is to head on over to the Appreciation Thread in the Mahouka forums and tell us. So you're doing one of the Fate series huh? Sounds nice but I still have to ask are you going to be working on Mahouka volume 13? Because it's been out for a while. Though I do recall mention of this being the series first release of the volume as an actual book first rather than it being updated as a webseries first and how that would somehow effect the speed of the translation but still I'd like to know if you are working on it or could give a rough estimate on when you might be planning on working on it
