I&#039;m aware of the differences. My point is that under the context of the story NEET is an adequate English equivalent for hikkikomori, since the story does not delve in any aspect where the differences would be of any relevance, and it would save us from incurring in any [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbarism_(grammar) barbarisms]]&lt;br /&gt;
