Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance (精霊使いの剣舞 / ''Bladedance of Elementaler'') is a light novel series written by Shimizu Yuu and initially illustrated by Sakura Hanpen. Due to poor health, Sakura Hanpen could no longer continue illustrating the series and Nimura Yuuji, the illustrator of [[Leviathan of the Covenant]], took over starting Volume 14 ([http://bc.mediafactory.jp/bunkoj/20150508/ Source], [http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-05-08/bladedance-of-elementalers-novel-illustrator-replaced-due-to-poor-health/.87959 Eng article]). Due to personal circumstances, Nimura Yuuji couldn't continue illustrating the series, leading to another change of artists. Produced by TNK, a 12-episode anime adaptation aired during the 2014 summer anime season, covering events from Volume 1 to Volume 3.

Only a pure maiden can have the privilege to contract with a spirit. At Areishia Spirit Academy, trained maidens of noble families are gathered and given an elite's education to become elementalists. The protagonist, Kamito, accidentally peeped on a bathing girl, Claire, and ended up making a contract with the spirit she wanted. Well I don't want to complain since this translation is quite good, but in my opinion changing spirit to elemental is a mistake. Primo: no matter how you look at it seirei is definitely translated as (holy) spirit/ghost, if author would mean elemental he would use yousono or gensono (of course im no expert but thats what my dictionary says;) ). Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance (精霊使いの剣舞 / ''Bladedance of Elementaler'') is a light novel series written by Shimizu Yuu and initially illustrated by Sakura Hanpen. Due to poor health, Sakura Hanpen could no longer continue illustrating the series and Nimura Yuuji, the illustrator of [[Leviathan of the Covenant]], took over starting Volume 14 ([http://bc.mediafactory.jp/bunkoj/20150508/ Source], [http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-05-08/bladedance-of-elementalers-novel-illustrator-replaced-due-to-poor-health/.87959 Eng article]).
