To re-iterate the registration procedure:

*You are required to register which chapters you wish to work on. One portion of text per translator, please.

*Registration is on a "First Come, First Served" basis. Please register your intended chapters on the project's registration page.

*Maximum number of translators per volume is two, unless the volume is a collection of smaller stories. Another way to interpret this is no more than two translators should be working on the same "story arc".

*Translators may only register for portions of one volume at a time within each project. This is to prevent "biting off more than you can chew".

*The Registration page is not a binding contract, and translators are encouraged to negotiate between themselves which portions to register for.

*Anonymous Translated Contributions are required to inform [[User:Thelastguardian|thelastguardian]] and the designated Project Supervisor of the intend Chapters as shown on the corresponding Registration page before any major contribution.

*Portions that are not updated for a significant time may be taken over by another translator after getting permission from the Project Supervisor. The new translator is encouraged to start over to maintain consistency, but the old translation will not be deleted at least until the new translation is finished (and probably not for some time after that).

== Story Synopsis ==
The ''Monogatari'' series centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who is almost human again after briefly becoming a vampire. One day, a classmate named Hitagi Senjōgahara, who infamously never talks to anyone, falls down the stairs into Koyomi's arms. He discovers that Hitagi weighs next to nothing, in defiance of physics. Despite being threatened by her, Koyomi offers his help, and introduces her to Meme Oshino, a middle-aged homeless man who helped him stop being a vampire.

I just wondered, because we have had recently one in the forum interested in translating chapter two of Hidan no Aria and who already has translated the beginning of the chapter [http://www.baka-tsuki.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=2527&start=30#p63562 there] (I thought that you are maybe the same person just with a different alias ;)) So maybe you both should communicate with each other (?) - not that you both in the end translate the same chapter (I would think that this would be an unnecessary duplication of work... ;)) --[[User:Darklor|Darklor]] 06:36, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I’ll probably be replaced, and sold somewhere far away where I would be shipped by plane. I’d probably be sold to a cabaret club or bubble country or something like that. Then again since I am a minor there is the issue of human rights, but I’m not quite sure whether human rights apply to people who changed genders Holding his head, He thought this wasn’t something he wanted to think about. What can I do from here on, while feeling uncomfortable.

Alright I was just wondering about the Hidan no Aria because I was sorta like O_O when I saw those typos and thought to myself did I leave that their... Before realizing someone must have edited with typos. It is perfectly fine if you left it their for other editors to correct, but they made me stop. As I wanted to correct them because I like grammatically correct and literate sentences.

As for Undying his hard drive got erased, and he told me the whole project is now mine. So yeah I used the manga translation to catch up because it stuck true to the story for about 90%, the last 10% can be interpretive differences.

So Undying is in Thailand, and I'm not sure if he is going to come back as a translator until he gets everything back to normal because there was apparently a huge state of emergency in Thailand. He had his computer confiscated and cleaned out, but that is probably the least of his problems so if he does it might be later. As of now he has not given me any impressions as to whether or not he will continue at a later time.

I have a question. In the line "The Sunday morning of the day I heard Aria's hospital leaving plans" (Line 13), should "leaving" be changed to "discharge" ? Although "hospital leaving" is still grammatically correct, "hospital discharge" is the right word in this case I think.

Also in the line "I saw her as I was leaving the laundry place" (Line 17). I believe the "place" you were referring to is called a "Laundromat" but the term is not used often so it might be confusing for readers of a non-English/Western background, so changing the term is debatable.

I got contacted by the original translator, and Undying told me that his hard drive got wiped so he won't be working on this project. I guess for now, while I wait for a reply from the places I applied to I'll do some translating.

As for my parents if I tried to chew them out my dad would start a Socratic Seminar about how my line of logic is flawed and his is correct this lasts for 3 HOURS and can go up to 6 if I argue... my mom is poor, and my dad sold my car(My dad had 3 cars one of which he had originally planned on giving to me.) and gave that money to my sister.

I'm inclined to suggest 'meddlesome nature' rather than 'meddling nature' based on which sounds most natural, and 'nosy nature' would have distracting alliteration. | It's also possible to have 'tendency to meddle' or even 'tendency to stick her nose into other people's business' if inclined to wax eloquent. | Also inclined to suggest 'spurred on her []' rather than 'spurred her []'. | As for the '妙な', perhaps 'strangely seems to have been spurred on', though the 'somehow' was my first impression as well. See in the original it seemed like he was going to talk about what happened to his brother, and was cut off in his train of thought by Aria's out burst... I'm not sure if this edit really shows that.

Ah, but I have seen it in some projects (like [[To_Aru_Majutsu_no_Index:Volume12_Chapter1|here]] and [[Maria-sama_ga_Miteru:Volume1_Chapter1|here]] and I believe also somewhere else if the chapters were divided in subsections (so I thought its custom ;)) (I think for some its for a easier navigation in the chapter or to differentiate the pages - who knows for sure) Also I dont know if much could be done to change the titles of the subsections (but also one can hide the content) --[[User:Darklor|Darklor]] 23:59, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

What? Who? When did you translate this and why haven't I noticed it from the beginning? This is an excellent series and you translated an entire volume a month...that's ungodly. I just wanted to write here to say how awesome it's been reading this series (just finished the first book--I hated the way the author had me with the 'owner' mystery because of his cheap shot) and that I seriously congratulate you on your translations. Sure, they aren't perfect, but you clearly tell this wonderful story, and I'm definitely glad I read it. I truly hope you continue translating ^^.

Hey your here does this mean that you will continue to work on chapter 3 *wink*. No, but after looking at the kanji your right it sounds better in English as assault course. The reason is courses are classes in which you take under a subject in order to learn about said subject. ie: Math is a subject. While Calculus is a course. Therefore it would definitely be a course rather than subject because it falls under being a butei doesn't it?

Stalled projects

I hate it when a new project gets started because the anime airs with a lot of hype, then the TL loses interest and no one updates it. As in the forums, project won't be marked 'dropped' until after a period of 3-6 months- there aren't clear guidelines on this...

heh the anime I heard accurately depicts and explains all the jokes in the novels, or so I heard. I watched it myself, but I have yet to read the novels. From reading the novel translations, however it seems to be almost the same. I can not say I would ever want to translate these novels way too hard for me to get the jokes across, and then it loses all its fun. I wish someone translate Koyomi Vamp and the two fire sister's stories.

WOW I liked the light novel but never thought it would be on Baka-tsuki. hope that it will be adopted by Baka-tsuki and become a full series instead of a teaser.....

Just a question for anyone who reads the discussion page. Do you want sloppier, or more accurate/literal translations that take me about twice as long...<<<Actually, let me rephrase this. Do you want more vernacular, natural text that's easier to read, and less true to the original, or would you like a more literal translation that sticks truer to the original Japanese sentence structure, spacing, and nuance/culture, but is more difficult for the average English reader to read, or would you like a preview script where I re-translate option two into a more fluent form? Its up to the readers I don't care I'm only spending the same amount of time on the project over all!

Once the project gets some readers, alot of that gets done naturally, as far as I can tell. As long as you don't obscure the original meaning to a phrase feel free to go back and edit, but personally, as someone who can edit and can't translate, I would think it would be better to post new content in preference to editting old. After the first chapter gets finished, we'll ask one of the admins what needs to be done before the series becomes a full-fledged project, after which we should hold to whatever level of quality that demands, but before that: leave it till chapter's done. --[[User:Saganatsu|Saganatsu]] 00:59, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes I agree the anime wasn't as good as the novel. I'm sorry that I haven't been translating, but in real life I'm looking for a job to help pay for college since my stepmother's a gold digger that married my father who was paying for my tuition. She wasted all his savings 35,000$ on jewelry and clothes... Now I'm on my own for tuition sigh... I'll work on this more after I find a job.

Kämpfer (けんぷファー) is a light novel series written by Tsukiji Toshihiko and illustrated by Semmu. The series has currently 15 volumes. 

==Story Synopsis==
The plot revolves around Natsuru Senō, a normal high school boy with blue hair. One day he wakes up to find himself turned into a girl. A stuffed tiger "Harakiri Tora" comes to life and tells him to fight as a female fighter "Kämpfer". Having no idea about what's going on, Natsuru is involved in many battles against other female Kämpfer.

When I woke up there was a strange woman in the mirror.

That morning I got the impression that everything was the same, or so I thought. I went to the faucet to wash my face before breakfast. While washing my face I saw a woman looking back at me.

A sixteen or seventeen year old, with black hair and tight lips with unusual white skin. It is an appropriate estimation of the age of the girl in question.

Regardless of the fact that this woman is so pretty that she could be put on a boy’s magazine just by looking at her face.

At this turn of events I was naturally puzzled. I was left surprised after all this woman was me. Since this early morning and during the week, I was just a lowly high school student. Now I have to go to school. Nevertheless, right now I am facing a close encounter with a girl over the mirror. This is something like a miracle.

I absentmindedly thought about it. For sure this was something questionable, but it is still real. The woman here presently must absolutely not be here. This is not a mistake, as I looked at my chest in the mirror. There are probably some rich men who find charm in having these two large pair of mounds.

I am of medium height and slender. As for my grades, at one point my grades were really good, and then there was another time when my grades were really bad, this is a quick summation of my grades without going into too much detail. So overall, I am an average student. I have fairly decent reflexes. Well even though I am saying this all about myself, I am just another average guy that you can find anywhere.

What’s pretty is pretty, and I had profoundly thought about that. The type of girls guys like are vague, and whose mind is reflected by one’s heart, or probably something along those lines “It is” rather than “something along those lines” is probably more correct. Yet putting this aside.

Even just meeting someone in town, you can still fall in love with someone just by talking to them, and being yourself. What has my body become I thought as I looked down at my body. As I was looking down I saw my overly large chest. Something other than that had caught my eyes.

This is something girls wear, however wearing these uniforms causes delusions to that are of no good to any decent man in the world.
As soon as I wake up I have a habit of changing my clothes because then there won’t be a hassle after eating breakfast. Also if you sleep in late, you will still be fine for getting to school. I don’t remember however having any clothes that were tailored for women. If I was older than 30 then it’d be understandable if I had some passion for sailor uniforms.

This uniform is the same as the one’s at my high school.
