Luck is a very subjective concept.

You would consider yourself lucky if you caught your train in the very last moment.

However, you would consider yourself unlucky if that train met with an accident.

However, you would consider yourself lucky if you had a faithful encounter in the hospital.

However, you would consider yourself unlucky if that faithful encounter resulted in bitter memories.

In the end, catching the train would be the start of bad luck even though you thought otherwise at first. Of course, the exact opposite would be possible as well.

To put it bluntly, whether something is good or bad luck does not depend on the event itself but on what you make of it, and therefore it's a meaningless classification.

That being said, people still have the habit of thinking in terms of good and bad luck.
