Mistranslation?

the other day, i got bored of waiting for volume 4 ch 6 to finish so i decided to start reading the other volumes. so i started to read the prologue of vol 7 and i read this:
hmm... december 28th?
i was wondering if the date changed out of nowhere or wutever
and then, ch 6 of volume 4 finished and it read this:
it says the 18th here, and from the previous chapter, it was clearly the 18th
so my question: was it a mistranslation or sumthing completely different? and if yes, would the editers change it?
