But the 'overseer from future' position is already taken.

And I don't think Tsuruya would ever lie outright about the extent of her knowledge. She's not one for intrigues; refer to her acting in "The sighs".

Her family does seem to be the 'connections everywhere' type, however, so I wouldn't be surprised if they, even indirectly, affected the invention of time travel.

Heh, good thing the begining of the semester is usually easy while the professors wait for us to buy our books. I'll have time to read that whole chapter.

Edit: Damn it, I just remembered books are gonna leave me about $600 poorer...bah, small price to pay for knowledge!

Do your profs use the textbooks? I find that 60% of the time, the profs say what comes from their mouths is usually more important than the textbooks. And yeah... damn textbooks... how can they justify the brutal pricing?!
