Rememberance Day ~Honour to the Fallen~
Posted: Sat Nov 10, 2007 4:01 pm
Dear Baka-Tsuki users, readers and staff,
We as a community has come far, and it is a proud moment for us to have survived to witness our first anniversary. (which i admit i forgot! gomen!)
however the community that we had today, would not of flourish if not for the dedication and help of the first Baka-Tsuki members.
These people who gave us the most valuable commodity in this digital age: Time.
Time to help translate,
Time to foster a community,
Time to encourage us that this was a hobby worth doing.
However as we have grown, many of our comrades have fallen in the call of duty.
Forever lost on patrol in the wilderness of the digital jungle,
Taken out by the digital bullets,
Sunken by the waves of real life...
While today in the real world marks something special and this internet community tribute can only be a shadow of real heroes who gave their lives, so that we can pursue our hobbies in peace and happiness.
I think those who have help build Baka-Tsuki today who are no longer with us, yet grace our pages with the mark of there contribution should also be honoured today.
You might think this is a pointless tribute....
Just because it is the internet,
Just because no "real" people,
Just because there is no "real" evidence of loss of life,
These things does not matter.
What can only be judge of these people is the contribution they have made to our community.
To the people... The readers, the translators, the editors, you and me.
They might be fine, they might have their reasons, but no matter what happened,
I hope those who no longer here, will know that we appreciate your pass contributions and that Baka-Tsuki will up hold the dedication to our hobby, and that those who share it, can in there own small way be apart of it.
ARIGATOU GOZAIMASTA! m(_ _)m
