Just for information sakes, the Big Boss has released a monthly B-T site server usage chart, this was partially a response to a query about the flare up of Internal server error recently.

Blue = Requests

Red = Page Served

As you can see, we have had a sharp increase last month, if we comntinue this tread i suspect December and January will be just a same, before dipping as the new working term begins.

We have discuss about moving host, as this is more about the access bandwidth throttling that Dream Host seems to restrict as our usage peak.

The Big Boss has Backup and a new set of server up and running but are not up to his satisfaction or free of problems.

never-a-less, if you have any advice or comments for the Big Boss or just in general feel free to do so.

Interesting, since it's only the 10th, we should have almost 12 million by the end of December.

It's also the holiday season, so people will be spending less time on here and more with their families, shopping, or working for that holiday pay bonus. 8)

If more members come though, I could definitely see a problem with throttled bandwidth. :?

Luckily I had only 1 internal server error problem for the last few months, which happened yesterday.
I have more problems with MY internet connection though ^_^

no loading times, no resource hogging.

I am more interested in the unknowns.
1/6 OS unknown? Wow, what OS is that?

And regarding people spending more time with their family, true, just that they have more time to surf the net or visit B-T as well. So i would expect an increase rather than what TGM said. But I would think it would not increase all that much suddenly.

what about the OS for Macs? and Linux now that I think about it.. (is reminded of the 'techno-cultural gap' between PC users and Mac users)

and that increasing annual trend is rather definitive, since japan's production of decent light novel series is on the rise; its almost certain that the project will be accepting more and more titles in the coming months.

mobile phones using sybian OS or Blackberry, Nintendo wii, PS3 for example.

not sure what else, but they could also be a variant of linux that just don't register under the recognised category....
