The Baka-Tsuki Blog is now open for business

Post by Kinny Riddle »

(Edit: OK, I've now figured out how to make this announcement "Global" )

In case you guys haven't noticed, B-T now has a blog, the link can be found on the B-T wiki sidebar.

Or if you're too lazy, here it is: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/blog/

Right now it only consists of 3 contributors: TLG, ShadowZeroHeart and yours truly. We'll be focusing on the review of Light Novels for now as this is still a fledgling blog.

So, as with all store owners who's just opened their store for business: Step right in and have a look!

Though as we all have lives to live, updates will come when they do come.

If you're interested in contributing to your own Light Novel review, please make yourself available to TLG (thelastguardian).

I know randomC has their own blog on their light novel review but it would be cool of you if you got Divine to post and link this blog on the site.

What are you talking about?

RandomC (Omni) is dead. Long Live RandomC (Divine). 8)
http://randomc.net/ (new address)

I rather like the direction this new RC is heading. Let's just say Divine is more into the guilty pleasures and moe of the day than before, while outsourcing the Neverending Shounen entries like Series B and O to other contributors. And so far not as many trolls hating on each other as before.

Anyway, the B-T blog is still fledgling, perhaps we'll get a few more posts up before then. b0mb3r, how about you PM TLG and see what he thinks about this idea? (c.c. me, SZH and Oni)

You know, i felt quite stupid posting that, then backtracking, only to Google to see if it's still alive.

so yes, I agree.

RandomC is dead, long live RandomC!

As for Private messaging the Big Boss.....p.m. him about what? :?

The Blog?

I thought he already agreed to be associated with the Blog?

I forgot to type in b0mb3r's name, I was referring to his suggestion about getting in touch with Divine and have him link the blog on RandomC, so he should PM the Boss.

Oh! that sounds like a good idea! But don't RandomC do their own LN reviews and such?

hmm...here is a question, is there a function i can turn on at the blog, that'll tell me who has posted what?

Because at the moment I'm finding it hard tell who post which article, or i'm i just simply blind and it's clear as day?

I have absolutely no idea how to work that out.

BTW, why is it just us posting? Oni, use your superadmin powers and advertise this thread everywhere. We need more exposure.

Yeah, the lack of names was one thing I noticed.

I'm not sure how it works with the software you are using, but here is how blogger.com works for me:

Under "Settings" and "Permissions" you can add authors. Each author has a unique name and email address to log in with. Whenever they post, author who is logged it has their name added to end of the post.

Hope that helps.

Wordpress intentionally took that 'display author's name' feature out a few years ago; I am not sure why they did that.

To get the names back, you either have to modify the theme codes, or use a theme that supports it.

This looks interesting o_O Is there a certain criteria to meet before becoming a contributor?

Well, first things, you're a senior translator already, so I guess you're on board. Go report yourself to the boss. :)

Oh and make sure what you intend to blog on to avoid us clashing on reviewing the same books. :D
