You work and work ,and in the end the only thing you want is for your Boss to notice you and give you a raise, but when he does all he gives you is a new desk and a plaque wealth your name spelt wrong.

The irony is painful, Oni. Very, very painful.

I read way too fast and I have a high tolerance for bad spelling and grammar (brought on through a decade of IRC chat). Unless something really bothers me about the way it's worded, I tend to breeze right past it.

That said, I fill a niche function by reviewing the edits of others, provide feedback when an other editors get hung up, and helping to iron out translation issues on a case by case basis. Generally the swarm of editors do a pretty good job and I rarely find someone making it worse. If they do I'll fix it, though.

I also kinda took over as the image uploader guy for the Haruhi series. Not quite sure how...

Nutcase is the guy who has the patience to nitpick every single word and raise questions. 90% of the stuff I do is reacting to his comments. (We're a team dammit!)
=Smidge=

P.S. Why is "feedback" censored as "poke" ?

If it works for you, Smidge, it works for me. I like editing, i really like these stories. I'll probably lower the bar somewhat on what I'll ask for help on.

Well, we are technically a group founded on the communist idea,
thus criticism of the system isn't allowed

Thus anything with that dreadful individualistic word is censored.

Aha!
Score one for Wiki-Communism!

Nice to see the both of you as editor. Was kinda hoping for Smidge to get that raise after the several times he helped me with my translation issues (like romanizing names and other japanese stuff) ;P

Same goes for Nutcase who brought up many interesting topics (like 'Organization' for instance). Good job and good luck to the both of you!

(I know it sounds old-fashioned, but hey, it's chinese new year today ^^)

I'm expecting at least a red 'Ultra-Editor' armband out of this deal, even if I have to make it myself!

frankly I'm fine with whatever you do as long as you do it without sending us pictures of you doing it.
