Battle Moon Wars

Recently, I managed to get a hold of Battle Moon Wars. However, since Japanese is not my first language, I have been thinking about translating them for a summer project or something like that. However, since most of the text is embedded into data files, I cannot access it without some serious hacking or playing through the entire game while struggling and translating simultaneously. So, I would be interested in translating this game, but I do not know how I would approach this. I would appreciate some feedback on this for whether people would want this game translated and whether I could get some assistance in obtaining the text if people want it translated. Just to let everyone know ahead of time, this is my first time trying something like this, so I will be VERY slow. Sorry about this ahead of time! Oh, and for those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, think of Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, and a few others put into a Final Fantasy Tactics Advance like RPG. I long gave up on this idea for a project. It seems to be too hard anyhow. I could do it, but it just seems more of a pain than it would be fun now that I look back on this.

There's a guy called phib who's already doing it, as you can see HERE.

An 'initial' release is HERE, assuming the link still works. The translations were all taken from Lord Phr0zen's BMW guide, and apparently was done before he considered a true trans project, which is discussed HERE.
