It is based on Ping's advice, as quoted in my earlier message.

I think he meant it's better to upload chapters in whole parts if you're planning to translate them anyway regardless of the feedback. It's not a must.

Okay thanks. :)

As what Lare said. Just my opinion.

Ningyou is both the best and the worst of Nishio. Unlike mainstream works like Bakemonogatari where you still have some moe elements to balance out the bitterness, the whole story basically builds on his absurd writing that makes no coherent plot. In my opinion the closest novel to Ningyou is Kuuchuu no Buranco, but that one is still leagues behind Ningyou in terms of craziness.
Check out some Maijo Otaro. Just read Drill Hole in my Brain. And from what I understand he's done even more bizarre ones.

First post, didn't find a presentation thread, etc.

Now, about this project, the best of lucks. The little I've read from NisiOisin has left me impressed, especially his atypical characters. This one seems quite bizarre, that's why I know I'll love it.

I highly support your take on translating this. The pun-master is not easy to take on but I appreciate your best in keeping his words alive through english. godspeed.

So how is the progress?

Sadly it is kind of on the back burner due to the sudden influx of real-life translation jobs on top of my postgraduate study, internship and robot law researches. It is still okay for me to translate random teasers occasionally when I have a half-day break, but maintaining a consistent output every single day has become very difficult.

Anyway it is the consensus in this thread (or at least so perceived by me) that I should have finished the whole thing before uploading anything. Therefore I have no intention to create any project page or upload my current work to B-T in the meantime.

The good thing is that my progress probably qualifies as a standard B-T project (which isn't relevant anyway as nothing will be uploaded unless it has been 100% completed). The bad thing is that the law firm I am working in is going to face the peak season very soon (and you can probably tell the impact to this project).

But dont you think that it would be better to post what you have (even if it is only as a teaser project) before its may become lost?

No worries. I will make sure that I won't lose it. :)

Anyway I don't have much confidence in either language and can't help much except poking you guys from time to time.

You also have my respects for being able to regularly work on this along with arguably (?) two full-time jobs. Lately I have been working as a full-time intern and can't even bring my concentration on my research essays, let alone B-T translation stuff.
So this project is stalled for now?

The good thing is that at least things will turn better (hopefully) when the internship and my robot research end :P. The bad thing is that the internship is going to last for a while.
