Tamako Market, written by Mutsuki Ichinose.

Tamako Kitashirakawa is the eldest daughter of a family which runs the Tama-ya mochi shop in the Usagiyama Shopping District. One day, Tamako encounters a strange talking bird named Dera Mochimazzwi who comes from a distant land searching for a bride for his country's prince. After becoming overweight from eating too much mochi, Dera ends up becoming a freeloader in Tamako's home. The series follows the everyday life of Tamako, her friends, family and neighbors, and this peculiar bird.

Personally, I'd love to see this translated because I adored the anime. I've looked for it after finishing the anime, but sadly, I couldn't find it. I was wondering if anyone else was wanting it to be translated as well.

Wait, this is actually a series?

Well, I wouldn't touch it 'cause the anime wasn't bad (KyoAni), but it's just pointless in itself. It lived off it's "moe-ness", which I can't see how this'd work out in a book.

I haven't read the novel, but you can't just judge a book by its cover, dude.

Dunno how this is "judging a book by its cover" when I've seen the anime, implying it isn't something totally different, of course.

Blazblue game was good, light novel adaptation was good, but anime trash. On the other hand, chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai's anime is better than the light novel.

Since the novel adaptation is going to have a "new story" and a new narrative in a different format, you never know how the good the story can become.

He probably meant that the anime series was too "sweet", that he cant really believe that this would work in a book...
