El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Universe Novels

Hello! I'm here today to suggest a translation of the El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron ( (エルシャダイ アセンション オブ ザ メタトロン) series of novels! The El Shaddai series is mostly known by the video game released in 2011 for Xbox 360 and PS3 directed by Takeyasu Sawaki, who is also the author and artist of all of the novels. It was developed and published by Ignition Entertainment. The plot of the game takes its story from the Book of Enoch, with Enoch as the main character. To sum up the plot of the game from Wikipedia, "The story is inspired by the apocryphal Book of Enoch, and follows Enoch, a scribe seeking seven fallen angels to prevent a great flood from destroying mankind. He is helped in his quest by Lucifel, a guardian angel in charge of the protection of the world who exists outside of the flow of time, and four Archangels."


The novels in this series are not necessarily chronological, and they expand upon the entire universe of El Shaddai. This means that the novels follow different Biblical stories and characters, sometimes in different timelines, but all related to each other somehow. The novels do not tell the plot of the game, but recently Mr. Sawaki has started a manga that does. This series is very rich in mythology, and very fascinating! Synopsis for Gideon: "Based on the Epic of Gilgamesh, the story follows Gil (AKA Gilgamesh) and his friend, Lulu, as they discover a mysterious boy named Sem in a crater near their village."

Although only in Word File form, it, and the full files for the rest of these, are over at the commofenoch Livejournal to Download (Which is open to the public, so no accounts needed), if you want to download them there! Be sure to look for the revised translation file for Gideon, as it fixes some errors and has some translation notes. If you have the Word file and the file for the scanned pages of Gideon, you can read them together! That way you won't miss out on the pictures.

I have no translation skills, but I would be so happy if someone translated the rest of the novels, especially Why Are You The Messiah!?. I really want to know what happens to Apple Rinko and Remiel, since they seem like really interesting characters.
