Ehmmm... this is definitely a stupid question, but how do you exactly vote? (Click something or.....?!?)
Sorry before hand, I know it's annoying to answer questions like this.

If there is a poll, just click on a bubble, and then click submit vote. I don't think this should go in this section though.

Only topics that have [ POLL ] next to them have true voting capability.
Other than that, you might try posting in that topic to offer your support.
